Coach Guy Morriss passes

Rest easy Guy. Prayers to his family.
Also, starting with J Lo dying so young about 5 yrs ago the UK family has been on a sad stretch of death. I suppose the UK football team will honor Guy with a sticker or patch.

Guy brought a winning and exciting brand of football to UK in the midst of the team being on probation with limits on Scholarships he should have been retained They paid more to replace him then it would have cost to keep him and what he didn't get done at Baylor had nothing to do with the descision not to pay him at UK. When other Coaches including Ast. Coaches were looked at by other teams they get a pay raise. God Bless his family and friends as they have to deal with his loss

The players really pulled for him to get the job when Mumme left and they were upset when he left for Baylor. It seemed like the new AD didn’t want anyone associated with Mumme to be there.

“The Long Goodbye”. My mom passed from it. Heartbreaking to visit her and have her smile and ask if she knew me. Always left feeling worse than when I went in.

My grandmother- her mom- had it but they called it senility.

He played for a lot of years as an NFL lineman when head slaps were legal for D-lineman. I actually met him once. He had a real presence about him. He seemed like he would be a good coach to play for. He was big, but not by today's standards for linemen. His record at Baylor is deceiving, because they were not competitive at all when he took over, about where Kansas is now. They were in a lot better shape when Morriss was fired than when he was hired. His last UK team was really well coached, and it was a fun season, except for one "miracle" and a no show at Tennessee. RIP Coach.

I watched the 2017 interview he gave. So sad to see someone fighting this terrible disease. My father-in-law had it and my daughter-in-law father is fighting it now. RIP Coach ❤️❤️🙏🙏
