think he's a great recruiter and defenseive coach, would however like to see him change his offensive philosopy sometimes it's really hard to tell what were trying to do.

Do you really need to know? Is there some type of approval our fanbase has to give? The coaching staff knows what they want, the players will figure out sooner or later.

Cal is a HOF coach....he knows what he's doing. Good grief...look at 2010-11 & 2013-14 & relax.

I agree with OP that sometimes it's hard to figure out what they are trying to do. I always said Cal needs to hire an offensive guru.

Not to pick on you OP but this is far and away the laziest criticism of Cal that I hear every year. Its hard to figure out what we run on offense because Cal changes it every single year, and a lot of times changes it up during the season. He runs an offense based on the personnel we have. Do you think the Brandon Knight team should be running the same kind of stuff the John Wall team did?

We also don't run a ton of scripted stuff. We run sets, which is basically just a way to get a play started. Then from there the players themselves decide what to do. That is the way Cal has always done it. The sets change based on personnel.

well I think this team instead of trying to force a half court game when we have no inside presence at all, should try to force tempo with the guards we have because I think guards are our strength this year not big men.
