CLARKSVILLE – Austin Peay State University’s baseball season-opener against Kentucky has been moved to a noon (CT), Friday start to avoid inclement weather at Joe and Cathi Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park.
The season-opening tilt will feature the Ohio Valley Conference preseason Pitcher of the Year Jacques Pucheu against Kentucky’s Zack Thompson, a Preseason All-Southeastern Conference team selection.
In addition, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Austin Peay baseball clubhouse will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday prior to the start of that day’s 1 p.m. game against Kentucky.
