Does anybody think we will ever find out what happened with him? I was excited to see him have an all SEC type season. All the secrecy leads me to think there is a lawsuit pending on a workout product or something. I would think that at some point, that would become settled. It's not a big deal, but I think about it often, since I see his progress updates on Twitter.

It is a tragic sad story. you & me & everyone else are not owed a detail medical explanation of what happened to this young amateur athlete.

He wasn't even at UK in school when it happened.

Knew two young guys who suffered strokes. One at 18 & the other at ~24.

I don't understand the morbid fascination we have as humans with the details of other people's suffering. I'm not saying I don't have it too, but wtf is wrong with us as a "species" that we need such things. It's just weird. (And I'm not saying the OP is morbidly fascinated, just a general observation)

Really rare for someone that young. About 30 years ago UGA had a kid have one too. Ended his career but he had had a normal like with a career in teaching and coaching hs ball in Atlanta area. Name was Dave Jacob's.

It's because he was in the prime of his life and if it can happen to him it can happen to anybody. It's kind of a reminder of how fragile we are. I also think "but why" is a pretty common line of thought when we see a tragedy. I don't know why that is.

No question it can ... and it's something we are seeing a lot more of now and it will continue as we get further from 12/20.

I knew it was a stroke. It just seemed so unlikely for a 21 year old elite athlete to have a completely debilitating stroke that I wonder how in the world does that happen. I just don't understand it, that's all. Not in a something doesn't add up kind of way, but I just can't wrap my head around it kind of way. I don't know, I guess it was a bad question.
