CHILLS

Lol, that video give me chills realizing what cal has accomplished in a short time here at UK. I'm really hoping brad attends UK. Unless he goes to a small school to play, I see cal wanting to coach him and share those 4 years with him. Cal is already a master recruiter but If brad does come here cal will do whatever he has to in order to assemble a team that will win Atleast one title with brad. I think that would be a dream for him and something to share with his son.

As an immense UK fan, it's kind of amazing to think of the joy Cal has provided me over the last several years - especially considering the misery that proceeded his arrival. Once he does leave/retire, I'm probably going to have to find some private space to go to so that I can cry like a mofo for a couple days.

Being in the thick of things every year is so awesome, we've come so close 4 times outside of 2012. It always hurts really bad to get that close and lose, but you look back at what Calipari and our great teams have accomplished over the last 6 seasons, we all would've gladly signed up for that. I love that every season is essentially a new team, it makes it that much cooler looking back and makes every season so distinctive. Our latest iteration has me as excited as any, I really think UK Basketball is on the verge of breaking out even more. Coach Cal never gets complacent, I know he wants more championships.

We are talking about a guy who has a National Title and has been close 7 other times. The haters are obviously going to spin that as he chokes in big games, but I just don't buy that. He is partly to blame in some of those losses don't get me wrong, but there are more chances yet to come, that is for certain. Calipari will retire here I believe, 5-10 more seasons, and I think 3 or 4 more championships. He still wants to go 40-0 I think too, you can't say it's impossible, we've come close twice. If Watford doesn't hit that shot then Calipari doesn't tank that Vandy game to teach a lesson, and that team was not going to lose in the Tournament, no one really came that close. Then last season 38-1, is pretty damn close I'd say. No one else believes it besides us, but it can done. I mean you pick out Cals best 3 seasons here record wise...(111-6) that's an unbelievable stat. The other 3 seasons combine for a record of 79-32 which included a National Runner-Up and Final 4. So every other other year Cal has put together a team that had a legitimate chance to go undefeated. 111-6 is what we need to remember to keep perspective of what Cal is capable of. I just find it really hard to doubt the guy.

If he retires in 5 years, I'm 99% sure he would come out of retirement after a year or two. Now that he is getting up there in years he's seeing that the great ones, the ones that have the most influence, stick around maybe even past their time. Cal is a great, and who is more influential than him? He has 10 years left. He loves the game and himself too much to walk away at 60. Roy Williams is freaking 65 and he's not half the coach Cal is. If Cal coaches 10 more seasons, he'll have more than 2 championships and at least 7 Final Fours even if you exclude 96 and 08. Cal has a chance to reach Wooden, Rupp, and K status. Only coach in the game you can say that about. I will allow that Brad Stevens would be scary at a major college program, I'm hoping he breaks through with the Celtics and stays there forever.
