I knew cal was going to give him the minutes. I can't believe how many people didn't see it.
The kid plays defense and bounces around the rim. He's already way better than Willis. Cal will play the ones that want it and the ones that play defense. Period.
I love Charles. Love he'll be here 2-3 years too. He's going to be our rock next year with all the talented freshman.
He's looked very solid in first half and I couldn't be happier for the kid. I've liked him since he first committed. We've been seeing glimpses lately of what he can bring to the team and tonight he's been great.
He likely would, but he hasn't made a three since the second game. If he's not making them, he's not going to get much PT.

Just think if he improves his shooting. He's gonna be good either way but if he improves his shooting he can be a great player and a high 1st rounder in a year or 2. I really like him. He needs to be working on his shooting though.

Just wanted to say I agree with this 100%. When Kennards shot isn't falling - and it isn't early in his freshmen season - he's pretty much useless.
Matthews on the other hand can contribute in multiple ways even when his shot is off. Really happy he is a Wildcat.

Disagree. Briscoe had a good game. 6 pts, 6 boards, 7 assists, 3 tos and 2 stls.
Briscoe SHOT poorly. That doesn't mean he played poorly, though. He still had a big impact on the defensive end, grabbed 6 rebounds, and had 7 assists.
Part of what makes Briscoe so effective is that he doesn't need to make jumpshots in order to be a really, really good player. It's obviously better if he does make shots, but he's got every other area of the game covered.
Just what in the heck were you watching. Briscoe did a great job running the point when Ullis went out.
Wrong. You do realize there's other areas of the game besides just scoring, right? Briscoe actually had a very good game in all those other areas.
So poorly, that some how dished out 7 assist, 6 rebounds, 6 points, and a couple steals, that's some horrible stats.
Kid reminds me of DA as much as anyone I've seen. Best guards in the country by far.
Nah. Briscoe made a few bad decisions. He over-penetrated in the lane a few times and got stuck forcing a shot or making a bad pass. But that's bound to happen. No one is perfect, and he's a freshman, so will make these sorts of mistakes as he learns. But he did a very good job distributing the ball and running the point. And he played stellar defense most is the night.
Not a surprise to me. Charles is gonna be a lottery pick in the future. He rebounds, he can score, and he can play D. Great athlete with explosiveness. Gonna be loads of fun watching him grow while playing here.
Briscoe IMO was sensational. Luis goes down,and did we leak oil? Not one bit.
Luis has taught Briscoe a lot already, and just because Cal wasn't happy doesn't mean I'm unhappy.
This was a perfect team for us to learn how to play without Tyler. We've seen Cal not have confidence in his other Points, but I like that Briscoe was aggressive with a double digit lead.
