Chandler announces he is returning

I know everyone's laughing at this, cause it is ridiculous in some aspects. But there's 350 D1 schools out there. Some of them Chandler could start on, and others he could be the 6th man. He could have went back to BYU or somewhere in Utah near home. So I think thats pretty telling that he's choosing to stay here when he might wind up bating 9th.
When I saw that clip where Chandler said he knew where he was supposed to be in life and that was here playing for Pope that was refreshing to hear.

Unless I missed something this year I never heard our freshmen or any of our guys complain about playing time or the expectations on them or the program. That starts with good leadership at the top. Pope never whines and embraces our crazy expectations.

He’s not a bad ball handler, it’s his passing that needs work. But that will get better with practice. And this team is going to have enough good players to make practice tough.
If he doesn’t have to play the 1 he’s fine.

This is where all of the experience Chandler got in SEC play during the wake of the injuries will pay off going into next year having seen the floor for crucial minutes this past season.

I totally agree . I c him being twenty minutes or so this coming year. M guess is ge will be the most improved player on the team due to both his work ethic and becoming comfortable with UK and Pope’s system .
I’ve had him penciled in as a starter on my mock lineups for now. Of course that would change if you go get an absolute top SG in the portal. I’m very high on Chandler and won’t be surprised if he wins that starting SG spot. I’ll probably get crushed for saying it but I see that kind of potential with him THIS year

But what does Your Camp think of this?
What about your Inner Circle or Inner-Outy?

Hopefully you have a No-Water-Testing / No-Signing Party so we can get pics

Otherwise --- I DONT BELIEVE YOU!!!!!!1

He got a Posse ...

He showed some flashes of being a good defender guarding some pretty good players Comes up with quite a few steals and is willing to take charges.

We will see how he improves this upcoming season.
Ifhe has not made great strides in his game he will be on the bench. We desperately net to recruit over Chandler. He is just not a SEC level guard or a #3.

This is great news. His best basketball was played toward the end of the season and he really seemed to have confidence in his shot. A stronger Chandler will be able to take advantage of his athleticism and will be able to get more looks. Pope will land another wing, but Chandler has the potential to demand some of those minutes.

Thought he couldn’t play in the sec st the beginning of the year and gladly ain’t crow when he started getting comfortable. He could make a huge jump from beginning the season to the end.

I might’ve underplayed the importance of him getting back into high level ball after his trip.

Look at Brea's and Robinson's freshman numbers. Were they SEC level guards? And as freshmen, they weren't coming off 2 years away from basketball.
