Umm. I think we lost faith in him because he had bad numbers.
Nope, he missed that game winner at UF, Ruffolo came in and was serviceable but never had a big leg. Now he's just missing everything.
The Smith kid from Boyle County was the no1 ranked kicker in the country last year . He can play 4 games and keep his redshirt. He can’t be any worse can he ?
It was ridiculous to have Ruffalo try a 47 yd field goal into a 21mph wind . Do our coaches even know which way the wind blows ?
You almost have to try from that distance. You would hope if you had 3 kids on scholarship that you recruited as kickers, one of them could make a 47 yard fg.

f I get kick he rushed, 2nd was spot on but was like a 60 harder with that wind.
Poore is our holder so if you take him out of that you are throwing someone in that has never held in a game before
Then that is a coaching issue.
Come on...you can't defend running RUffalo out there any more. We ahve like 3 scholarhip kickers in Poore, Ruffalo and the Ky kid from last year's class. Heck, we can play the new kid in 4 games and not burn a RS. It's a dumb idea to keep running a failing former walkon out htere.
I'm no special teams expert, but I actually believe Poore has done a very good job at holder this year. A number of the snaps he has received have been off target, and he's gotten most of them down. I feel for Ruffalo. I fear that same string of bad snaps through early-mid season got in his head.
The whole timing is off mostly because of the bad snaps. Center, holder and kicker can’t trust each other the be on time because the snap is everywhere.
Sad because Ruffalo was decent last year. His second miss today was simply because of the wind. I’m for giving Poore a chance but he’s been the holder all year and We’d be breaking in a new one.
Just can’t get over his most unfortunate name for a kicker.

I need another shot every time we try a FG or XP.
And the last thing uk needs is a guy named chance poore with the game on the line. Stoops clearly overlooked the kicking game bc these guys have been around too long.
