Chad Baker-Mazara Commits to USC

Just glad he's out of the SEC. Good player.

SEC has lost a TON of talent this offseason, via graduation or transfer.

Not even close to the same level of talent coming in to replace it.

The SEC will still be good, but it'll be nothing like last year, which is probably good.

I want a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament and an SEC crown.

At first I thought this was South Carolina and my first reaction was "Great, we still get to play the 27-year old in conference play"..

And I agree, this is going to be a much easier SEC path. I would say this might be one of the better chance UK has to push towards a 1-seed.. because the SEC money and coaching is still there, so I expect 2027 to see an improvement. But for 2026, the league had no where to go but down.

They are giving a lot of money to Rodney rice and CBM. Idk if those are 2 guys that’s will lead you to where you want to go.
I hate to speak ill of the seriously injured….but Arenas as a freshman PG IF he can play this year isn’t going to be setting up plays much for other guys.

Auburn fans will spin this to be that they have upgraded their roster so much that CBM is was not good enough to get minutes as a Tiger next season.

Damn. Gonna be weird not seeing him at Auburn. I believe he was a freshman there when I was in elementary school.
While I agree that he has been in college way too long he was only at Auburn for 2 seasons. USC will be his 5th school...Duquesne (1), San Diego St (1), Northwest Florida State College (1), Auburn (2) and now USC.

Musselman brought in 11 transfers last year and 2 freshmen. Then lost 6 to graduation/eligibility and 5 to transfer (so 2 holdovers).

Then he goes and brings in 7 transfers and 2 freshmen this year. It's kind of crazy the turnover he enjoys.

The sec still has the best coaches too to bottom so I expect they make the most out of what they have.

the injuries he suffered and how long it took others to recover from them....keep up
What injuries are you referencing? And HOW do you supposedly know this?

The last report I saw said that he had NO serious bodily injuries and was doing well. He was placed into the medically induced coma solely because of smoke inhalation. I’ve seen nothing reporting that he is done for the year.

Since only you seem to know differently, I’m curious how?

The Washington Post is a rag, I would believe whatever the opposite it was they report on anything.

Here is an article from the 28th and the source is his father.

No major injuries, released from hospital and already walking around.
