Cats totally under the radar. Good with me. We beat FL and SC this year, and maybe MO, so we will see what shakes out.

No way we finish 2nd to last in the east. I believe we beat USCjr and Florida. These are 2 games im actually comfortable with and i dont mind our chances against Mizzou at Commonwealth, only real doubtful gamegames are at UGA and Auburn at Commonwealth but if UK can go in there with 1 loss or less I say they have a good shot with it being in Lex. Starkville isnt exactly a forsure loss, MSU lost alot. Vandy is a win, UT will be a tough game forsure but ill wait to see how the season starts to judge that one yet. Still not sold on the whole Tennessee hype thing.

Not necessarily. If UK wins 4 SEC games, 4 OOC games, and a bowl game, wait and see if we're not predicted to finish 6th in 2016. Maybe 5th, at best, and we'll be predicted to go to the Independence Bowl. That's the way these clowns tend to operate.

Thanks pal. Doubt you know much about the UK defense...and really wondering where all the super optimistic takes on the defense have been on this board. I have seen people hoping for top 50 defense - many believe the offense will have to carry us, so not sure where you came up with that.

Also about the coach speak - these guys don't really play that game. Last year they said we had SEC depth at 2 (TWO) positions...that isn't some hype machine.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. Arkansas fans seem to prove that regardless of the sport. I can still remember you guys on our basketball page telling us how we can't match up to Arkansas' athleticism. Now you guys are doing it on football as well huh.

The expectations are not based on coach speak but eye witness accounts. And nobody is predicting a stellar defense on here.

Also who are you to talk anyway. Arkansas is in the same boat as UK. You only had 1 more win than we did. And the same 2 wins in conference. If we got to play our 4th OOC game against UAB as you did instead of Louisville then we would have the same record.

Mainstream media will always favor teams that did well the previous year. It's the safest way for them to pick, and it reflects their superficial level of research. There are more than 100 college teams, and media are only familiar with last year's top 25. When we make our jump in the SEC east, only the top experts will see us coming.

All fans everywhere accept a certain amount of coach speak, because that's where everyone gets their preseason news. I'm sure you also eat a bunch of coach speak wherever your trailor is parked, so don't come here on our board and talk down to our fans. Kentucky's defense will not be the SEC's best, but it will be improved over last year because we are better at 9 out of the 11 positions on the field. That isn't coach speak, it's a pretty obvious assessment.
