I wasn't watching when Thrasher singled. Was that just a bone head play by Thrasher or a good play by the defense?

Absolute boneheaded mistake by Thrasher. A single to right and the second baseman is standing on the bag. What a moronic mistake.

11-1 run rule is what we should do against Bellarmine. I'm glad to see them handle their business in the midweek. Now a must win series on the road against Missouri. I suspect we are fighting Missouri for league bottom.

I think UK will lucky if they can hold on to her. I look for an elite program to come after her if their coach retires or fails.

She’s been in the running for some other jobs in the past but has stayed loyal to Kentucky. I think she’ll retire from here. If I’m Mitch, I give her the lifetime contract. 😂😂😂

Tough news out of Lexington.
Kentucky pitcher Darren Williams is out for the remainder of the season with a partially torn UCL after MRI results this morning. The Mason County grad was off to a strong start to the 2022 season with the lowest ERA on the Wildcats (0.93) in 29 IP.

Damn isn’t he the 2nd top pitcher to go down for the year? Hard to recover when you lose starters.
Do the Cats have some young replacements that can give it a good try?

Technically we've lost 1 starter, Stupp. Williams was moved to a starter role about the time Stupp was injured, but mostly due to Saturday starter Cotto struggling.

This team is built better than most to handle this type of issue, but it definitelyhurts depth and quality. Hazelwood was a starter last year before being injured. He's back and pretty much 100 percent, so he's slotted into Friday in place of Stupp. Cotto still available. Midweek starter Logue is available. Harney pitched the weekends a year ago and if I remember correctly even gor the start in our lone SEC tournament game. So, he's more than capable of taking over a starting role. Hagenow was a midweek starter a year ago and one of the highest ranked recruits we've ever had. Lee was in contention to be the Sunday starter this year, which is the role he had a year ago.

So, a ton of capable guys to fill the role. All of which are experienced and have done it before.
