Cal says he has a couple of tweaks in mind if a team has guards that just break us down. Said he may put two 7 footers in. Oh boy.
Well, there’s this new fangled defense they call a zone that’s supposed to shut down lane driving teams. Wonder if Cal knows about it?

For a coach that spouts off that he "Can't hide you" and playing at UK is "HARD", he sure wants to call out ANY kind of EXPECTATIONS from fans and media placed upon his future NBA players!!! Are these kids SOOOOOO fragile that he has to shield them from ANY form of reality???
Especially considering that it is Cal HIMSELF that has put EVERYTHING on the NCAA Tournament!!! He has emulated that to not only his team but EVERYONE over the entire season!! The PRESSURE to go far these next 3 weeks is ALL from HIM!!!
He has become the EXACT opposite of the Coach we hired 15 years ago.
Especially considering that it is Cal HIMSELF that has put EVERYTHING on the NCAA Tournament!!! He has emulated that to not only his team but EVERYONE over the entire season!! The PRESSURE to go far these next 3 weeks is ALL from HIM!!!

According to Cal, regarding our last game, “Yeah, we’ve been working on zone. We were good for a minute. You make a sub, one guy gives up two threes. Part of it, we hadn’t played it that much, but we were prepared to go to it if the guards kept getting downhill….”
So part of the problem with our last loss is that we hadn’t played zone much in the season.
Here’s hoping Cal will have the team working on it this week.🤞
Yeah I’m sure he does considering we ran it last game … I believe right after we took the lead or cut it to a basket and they promptly hit two wide open threes in about 30 seconds.
Actually it was one, the other wide open triples were taken against what is supposed to be a man-man...
Idk.. something about this team being in a mansion, while every other team is seemingly in a locker room or school cafeteria.. seems like a bad omen.
Also, is it too late to give Ulis a Wagner jersey and throw him in? I think if he had lead up time to get into game shale, he'd torch this field.

All 3 of our bigs will struggle vs physically imposing low post players but there are teams Bradsahaw can play well against. TAMU, Tenn and Miss State are not those kind of teams in all likelihood.
Thankfully, the SEC seemingly has to most physically and athletically gifted bigs. There's not a whole lot of other teams in the field I'm worried about, like a TA&M or a MissSt.
There's a world where Kentucky breezes through a lot of these teams, because of what the SEC did for us.. both in the level of competition and how badly they tried to cheat us. Lord help these teams if the calls don't go their way.
I have a feeling we're going to see Rob go off in this tournament. Hopefully he can stay out of foul trouble.
And we've beaten some of those power teams too yet you make a good point. I'm probably less worried nowadays since we seem to get a much fairer whistle in NCAA tournament play. The SEC tourney simply reinforced my mindset. But the Cats still need to take of business because every team in the field can get hot like TAMU or those teams that burn down the nets in Rupp.
Ellen is as uncomfortable sitting on the arm of that chair as Cal is about this tournament starting.
Good God don't put Cal in lite gray. He looks like a ghost of himself. Of course, he looks like that anyway.
I can't hardly listen to him anymore. Yeah, Cow, all of us fans that were big time Kentucky fans before you even got here. We are doubling down the pressure on you because we want to be right about you losing. Yeah, that's what means the most to us. This guy doesn't have a f*#king clue about Kentucky bb. He's off on some cloud somewhere counting NBA max players.
I used to live and die with these games. Now I just don't, but sure Cal. You're right. I cannot wait till he's gone, I don't know how anyone can listen to him. He's swaggy Cal ing it after losing the first game of the SEC tournament. Guys a goof.
