Could have, maybe should have, started 0-2 in conference, winning in OT versus Ole Miss when Moody got cramps, and then hanging on in Double OT against Texas A&M.

This year's team is not nearly as experienced, or, frankly, mentally tough at this point. I hope Cal is drilling into their heads what happened a year ago.

As an aside, I wonder how the year would have played out, and how the perceptions of last year would have been altered had UK lost one or both of those games. Let's say the Cats right the ship, lose one more, at LSU which was a last-shot type game, to finished the SEC 13-3 and 31-3 overall after winning the SEC tournament. Still a #1 seed. Maybe playing with less pressure but with more sense of the reality that losing was a possibility in any game.

We shall see. The next two games are winnable if we play hard, loseable if we don't. UK at LSU is their Super Bowl and World Series wrapped up in one game.

If what happened last year mattered at all as it pertains to this year, Kentucky would still be undefeated.

I doubt it will repeat. As others have mentioned the teams are different and the situation is different. Ole miss has one very good player that does everything for them so put Briscoe and Ulis on him then UK should be fine. Game is in Rupp so that is comforting as well.
