Better than anyone else they have at small forward. Upgrade when you can and then upgrade again later to better.

In a vacuum, you're correct, but they'd have to trade any other remaining talent they might have to make it work. It'd be subtraction by addition IMO.

Would he be a player upgrade over their current SF, of course. But would he upgrade their "TEAM"? I'm not so sure about that one.
He wold definitely spread the floor. Who you going to double team from in the front court. Too tall to double effectively from the back court save a few instances.

Never been a fan of Melo. Has he ever even come close to a championship? I mean I don't agree that titles automatically == greatness in the NBA but he's always seemed kinda ... meh . A prolific scorer for sure, but that's about it.

You make the trade if the following are true:
1) He is an upgrade
2) You can improve on the positions you must trade away
3) By Anthony agreeing to let go of the trade restriction, you could also trade him later if it is a bad fit.
Otherwise, Cousins, Holiday and Anthony on the same team is not good.

This is correct. They need to upgrade talent. Just because you can't upgrade to where you ultimately want doesn't mean you don't start somewhere. They have so little outside of thier stars and an overseas worthy bench. No reason T Jones can't be on this squad for the 2.5 million he's being paid in China.

I have never been a fan of NBA Melo but he has looked awesome.in team USA games. If he was on a super team I think he would be great.

Most overrated NBA player in the last 10 years IMO. Will never win a championship as anything other than a role player like JR Smith. Too 1 dimensional.

He's a volume scorer. The past 2 years he's been unable to even shoot 44%. I'd let him shoot it. He's also 33yo.

Holiday just signed a long term big money contract. Rondo did not make him expendable. That's just silly talk.

Very silly, but I've seen enough from both to have that opinion. Rondo was the driver to beat BOS last year, so his presence can't be ignored.

Pels continue to make stupid moves starting back with giving up a 1st rd pick and Noel to get Holiday and a first rounder for Asik and his huge contract. Now Holiday will never be able to be moved. Thier decision making lacks a lot to be desired.

Would have liked to see Noel and Davis pair up, but somehow they got Boogie.

Nice to see Darius get another shot as well, so not totally miffed about their decisions.

They seem to have one or 2 ?? decisions each season though.

Support the Hawks for awhile and you'll not have much to boast about there either! They seem to insist on not having a UK guy on the roster.
