I am "All In." I agree, that the attitude ought to be "Why Not." I think Stoops is the man and I am pleased with the changes, so far, in the program. Sometimes the change is painfully slow, like last night, but I'm convinced it's happening. But something happened last night that is so "Kentucky football" that I have to comment. This sequence didn't end in points for Florida so I can laugh about it this morning but, live, last night, it was frustrating.

3rd quarter, Kentucky's second possession. Towles gets sacked on third down leaving 4th and 13 from the UK 20. UK punts but a Florida player leaves his feet, and rams into the kicker's upper body.

KF Moment #1: referee calls a foul but not "ruffing" which would have been 15 yards and an automatic first down but "running into the punter," a 5-yard penalty.

Meanwhile, the punt goes 45 yards, to the Florida 35, UK covers well and limits the return to 3 yards. Florida ball on the Florida 38.

Because the penalty is only "running into the kicker," UK asks the ref to enforce it at the end of the run. At first, the refs do.

KF Moment #2: Referee marks off 5 yards at the end of the run BUT IT'S 5 YARDS IN FAVOR OF FLORIDA. Stoops is screaming and finally the refs correct it and mark the 5 yards off against Florida.

KF Moment #3: Florida's offense and Kentucky's defense are on the field, getting ready for Florida to start their drive at their own 33. At that moment, the refs realize that this is not a penalty that you can take at the end of the play. You have to either decline the penalty (and take the 42 net punting yards, very good) or take the 5 yard penalty and re-kick. UK decides to re-kick.

KF Moment #4: After taking the risk of re-kicking with a 5-yard penalty, UK lines up at the 25 yard line to re-kick. But, oops, UK jumps before the re-snap. 5-yard penalty against UK for illegal procedure. So, UK is re-kicking from the 20 yard line.

Kentucky punts it, again it travels to the 35 yard line of Florida where we get, finally...

KF Moment #5: After all that, Florida returns the kick to the UK 28 yard line.

At the end of the sequence, Brent Musberger said "That did not work out well for Kentucky."

No kidding
