If LSU plays like they did against us, I can see this being the upset of the weekend.

Since it's down there I give them at least a chance. OU's been beat twice, both of them road games. It will take LSU's best game of the year likely, but they certainly got up for us, and played well. It'll be interesting to see though even playing #1/2 team will they get the kind of crowd we often do there.

Oklahoma shoots the ball very well. I don't see LSU's defense being good enough to stop that. So, they will have to shoot the ball the way they did against the Cats. If they can they have a shot.

Will they play with the effort and passion that they played with against us?

I'd give LSU a shot. They need the win more, it's at their place and OU may overlook them. That said, I would not put a penny on that game either way. LOL

Yeah there's a chance since it's in Baton Rouge. They played out of their minds against UK. They'd have to do that again. But the problem is that UK basically laid down and played like garbage in that game, and Oklahoma isn't gonna do that.

Are they talented enough? Yes
Well coached? NO
Can they win? For sure but that depends on which team shows up. The one that played us or the one that has played the rest of the season.

When you have the best player in college basketball.... anything can happen. If the refs are protecting him at home like they usually do.... LSU has a shot at winning.

LSU has more than enough talent to win.... LSU's problem has been more than coaching...its players just not caring much.

Except they don't...Buddy Hield is the best player in college basketball.

Simmons is the better prospect, though.

Buddy Hield - 25 ppg 6 rpg 2.5 apg

Ben Simmons - 20 ppg 13 rpg and 5 apg

Hield is having one hell of a year but Meeks was putting up huge numbers his last year here and no one considered him the best player in the nation.

We played like crap down there and had a chance in the second half, they did enough dumb stuff to give us a chance,They kept UGA in a game they had no business being in,Oklahoma is good enough to beat LSU without any help but LSU will help them some.

I don't think so. If the game is @ LSU, then there is a chance, I guess - Simmons IS the golden boy.
Really, LSU didn't play all that great against us; we simply played worse.

It's ridiculous for anybody to say they don't have a chance, especially this season. It's basketball. Really, it's possible for anybody to beat anybody.

I don't think LSU will win, if they do, they're going to have to shoot it very well, and Ben Simmons will have to be a match-up nightmare (which isn't all that far-fetched).

If LSU beats Oklahoma it wouldn't surprise me if they moved the UK Kansas game to ESPNews so they can play Ben Simmons' game highlights until midnight.

Since LSU is playing this one at home I can see LSU beating OU. In most of these SEC/Big 12 challenge games the home team usually comes out on top. That is why I say Kansas at AFH will probably beat Kentucky. If Kansas was playing at Rupp Arena tommorrow night then of course I would go for Kentucky. The Home Teams usually has a slight edge in these SEC/Big12 Challenge Games.

In the NCAA Tournament it is usually Kentucky still standing for the SEC in the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final Four. Most of the SEC teams in last couple of years have been out before Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games. Most have been beaten in the 1st or 2nd Rounds of the Tourney except UK.

The simple reply to that is that UK was an NIT team that year and had nowhere close to the same success as OU this year.

And yes, LSU can win. They have really good talent and when really good talent is motivated they can beat any team, especially at home. Johnny Jones is an obstacle they'll have to overcome though.

well yeah we were a NIT team later on but we are 20 games into the season now......

20 games into the season back then UK was also 16-4 (which is on course for NCAAT)

Meeks was averaging 26 ppg 4 rpg and 20 games into the season that year.

There was a little talk about Meeks being in the running for POTY

Best player and POTY aren't always the same thing. One of Towns or Okafor had to be the best player last year but neither won the POTY award

The way I look at it is..... which player would you start a team with. Say you were in a league and you got first pick.... You pretty much have to go with Simmons.

If Buddy Holly goes off it will be hard for LSU to win and I haven't seen him play a game yet where he didn't hit everything he shot. I do hope LSU beats them Quarterman is playing a lot better than he was early on and the only two people that can stop Simmons in college ball is JJ and Ben Simmons.

We really should have beat them down there we were totally inept that night.
