What's your opinion on this. I feel he will be a very solid player for the Cats next season. He has some Ron Mercer type ability in his game.

I agree with smooth. I think he will be a great guard/ forward though as he will play the two sometimes even if diallo comes back. The beauty about Knox is he wimhas no problem playing the two three or four unlike bamba he will only play the four . Of course if bamba does come here he will play the five atleast 40% of the time based on the guys we have and the fact Richards and skj are the only two over 6'10. How ya been smooth? Taming any new strange lately? With your smooth ways on the message boards in sure you gotta fight the females off with a stick. Anything new going on in smooths world?
KK is easily the best SF prospect Cal's reigned in since MKG...and we all know how that turned out.
Vanderbilt will mainly play the 3 and depending on how the rest of the class shakes out we could see him at the two and at the four of course in limited roles. Washington and Gabriel will mainly play the four unless we get bamba of course who will demand the four but like I said a min ago he will be playing the 5 whether he likes it or not atleast 40% of the time. With his size and abilities it's kind of hard not to play him at the 5. I wouldn't sleep on shai and baker either. Shai will see plenty of time at the pg and sg roles and if he's out playing green he will be playing a lot more. Baker is the wildcard as not much is expected of him and he's a guy that can come in and do what we always hoped mulder would do. Difference being, he will be here 4 years and knows he will get his chance eventually. Call me crazy but I'll take baker over mark smith any day because of his shooting abilities and he will do whatever he has to to help this team win.

Call me crazy, but I think amid Vanderbilt can stay healthy he can be just as good. He can definitely handle the ball better and he plays great d his only problem is he can't shoot like Knox but with the talent we will have on that floor his shooting will be the least of our worries
I know Washington is listed as a PF, but can play both and imo is better than JV and Knox.JV may be better at the defensive end, but that's it

Knox is special. Has the ability to be one of the top 2/3 players that Cal has had here. Antetokounmpo isn't a stretch in comparison.

I think Vanderbilt, Knox, and Washington are going to be an incredible trio at the 2-3-4. Can't wait to see how Cal uses them with other guys like Alexander, Baker, Richards, Bamba. Hopefully at least 1 of the 3 is back for a second year.

Did you like Vanderbilt, even under the cry baby, Stallings? That gym needs to be imploded with crazy vandy fan in it. My division 3 college, Centre, beat Vandy in soccer when they were ranked no 3 in the country(more of an upset than when Ky lost to VMI, really).

People forget that that Knox is very young, probably the youngest guy in our class next year. Has a lot of room to improve and his physique will change a lot. Think AD as far as how much this kid's physique could evolve over the next few years. He'll be a lottery pick on that potential alone.
Love Vanderbilt too - I think scouts just need to see him have a good injury-free run. UK was an extremely smart choice for him because he won't have to play 38 mpg or EVER play hurt. Can play hard and excel in his time on the floor and still optimize his draft stock. Think Booker and Lyles.

Good luck to the rest of college basketball if Knox is as good as Mercer was at UK. I think people tend to forget how good Mercer really was in college. Dude was damn near automatic in the midrange game. His 3 ball was damn good as well. Handle, pass, drive, rebound and play good defense. He could do it all.
