Can Florida handle the bright lights???

Really really hard to win SEC night road games

Very rare UF plays a game outside the state of Florida. FSU is always in Florida and is the game with UGA, add the 3 cupcakes they have so they almost always have 8 games sometimes even 9 if they are the visitors to our game with them. If UCF and South Florida were still pretty weak they would add them.

I am not saying who wins and who doesn't win but Florida has won plenty of night road games in the SEC throughout history. Not sure that's the argument you want to go with.

Throughout history, obviously.
This is the first SEC game, and away game to boot, for many of their offensive starters, including majority of their offensive line.

While many Florida teams have won night road games this current team has NOT.

And then there's this as well.

Go be petjurino somewhere else.

Grumpy I hope u stick around this board forever. I never realized that till u just mentioned it. They really only do play like 2 actual road games a year lol. Never occurred to me but that's kinda weird.

Come on guys. You can say that about any team. If Alabama came rolling in this week would you be saying "hey, THIS Alabama team has never won a conference game on the road at night, will they be able to handle it"?

And that is something to condier. Especially, coming into a fully packed CWS with all the excitment following this UK Football team.

Believe it or not, they actually only play one less game out of state every other year than we do. On a two year cycle, they have 7 games out of state and we have 8.

I know you aren't comparing Bama and Florida? It's apples to oranges.

I'm a Big Blue fan. Moved from Lexington to Florida 15 years ago for the sunshine and beaches. I'm somewhat more concerned about this Kentucky team than I am about Florida.

I think KY can definately win if they play to their ability.

Don't think you are seeing what we are saying. This isn't home games, this is games they have every year they don't leave the state of Florida to play. UGA plays them in the Gator bowl every year, FSU is always in Florida, plus they have 3 cupcakes come to the Swamp. This year they have 8 home games, last year they played 9 games in the state of Florida and was the visitor in 2 of those. Maybe not an advantage, but it doesn't hurt to not have to travel very often

I understand what you're saying. They leave the state of Florida to play games 7 times over a 2 year period. For example:

2014 - 9 games in the state of Florida and 3 outside the state of Florida
@ Alabama
@Tennessee
@Vandy

2015 - 8 games in the state of Florida and 4 outside the state of Florida
@Kentucky
@ Mizzou
@ LSU
@ South Carolina

If you compare that to UK:

2014 - 8 games in the state of Kentucky and 4 outside the state of Kentucky
@ Florida
@ Mizzou
@ LSU
@ Tennessee

2015 - 8 games in the state of Kentucky and 4 outside the state of Kentucky
@ South Carolina
@ Mississippi State
@ Georgia
@ Vandy

Florida has plenty of experience in playing night football and they have drilled us into mush for decades. It wasn't always that way as they were weak to average until a young head ball coach arrived. Now, Meyer and Spurrier are gone. Florida is good and has on average better athletes than us. This time the talent gap has begun to close. When they punch us in the mouth, we can now punch them back. And, this Wildcat team won't back down. Believe. We can win this game!

Alabama is not in a decline as a program that Florida has been experiencing the past two seasons and will continue to this season. All UK fans know we were robbed at Florida last year. The pressure is all on the Gators to win on Saturday. In my opinion they don't have a chance. Sports can be very humbling when the opponent has payback on their mind. UK will not let what happened last season happen again. Looserville will experience it later this season at CWS.

UofLsucksville boards are dead since you have been eliminated from your expected national championship run. Which is why you have to come to a Kentucky board to instigate Cat Fans. Go on back to your board cause Zipp needs you to wipe his tears again.

Looserville football: middle of the pack ACC team if that......get use to it

Is that the norm for UK or just an unusual year?

I wouldn't say the team hasn't played hostile road games but their qb hasn't and he's behind the worst OL in their modern history.

There coach sure hasnt. I'm sure csu played some good games but I'll bet that he never had a streak hanging around his neck and never had millions of people watching him just to see him lose.

All the pressure is on them for this game for the simple fact that people around them tell them tell them they can't lose this game. Been reading several other fan sites and most seem to want us to win this one. Uf doesn't have many fans outside their fanbase.

Hey Pety, how is that 0-2 record being swallowed? I bet some at ul are choking on the predictions that they had earlier. I mean you should kill Clemson but if you don't and screw up and lose, have the cops man the bridges so that most of your fans don't commit harry carey.

And concerning the fla game, how much pressure does FLA have on them in this game? The media by their rankings and statements do not believe that Kentucky can win this game with the exception of one or two. To me the pressure is all on FLA and their new coach. Lose to cellar dweller Kentucky and all of a sudden the gator fans and media are wondering what has happened to our program. If I'm Stoops, I tell the kids to play loose and free and enjoy the game, and beat the crap out of the gators. Well that's what I would tell them, lol.

Grumpy, Floridas situation is not much different from Georgia's. There are normally 7 home games in Gainesville, and their in-state rival, every other year is on the road, similar to Georgia's situation with Georgia Tech. Yes, the Florida-Georgia game is in Jacksonville, but most consider that a very neutral site, with tickets split 50-50. So not sure what your point is. You know as well as anyone it doesn't matter who the home team is in Jacksonville, it's only about jersey color. The reality is, this year, Florida plays 8 games in state, as does Georgia, as does Kentucky. It's really a non issue.

I wish we could start playing Florida later in the season, like we used to.

Or, they could be traveling into their worst nightmare, you just never know.
It would be like myself being ignorant about your powerhouse Bball program. Really, your history of doing anything in the eastern division is null and void! It would take ALOT more from your football program to get respect.

No denying that you speak the truth BUT if changes are ever going to happen, it needs to happen for us on Saturday and if it does, you will have a very different conversation to have with me.

I can't begin to stress to you how little your respect as a Florida fan means to our football program. [laughing]

most of the guys on this team have lost to uf only once or twice. its no big deal to them and they dont really care about the streak. uf on the other hand would have to be worried about being the group that "lost" the streak.

GAYtors go down Saturday! Complete SWEEP in Basketball and Football.

Florida basketball AND football are TOAST!

Got Urban? :sunglasses:

Got Billy? :sunglasses:

You got lucky last year as the officials won the game for you while robbing UK. Our coaches, players and fans have not forgot that and it won't happen again. If the officials did not give our game to you you would have had a 5-6 record.

The gators better beat us cause you have a tough schedule in conference. @ UK, Tennessee, Ole Miss, @Missouri, @LSU, Georgia, Vandy, @South Carolina. I can see you opening up with six conference losses in a row. How respectful would that be.....Go on back to your board and spout off cause you have no respect here.
