Could use another 3 point shooter to go with Ulis and Murray if Willis is out for a while.

You're kidding, right? Have you seen him shoot this year? Tonight was his first made 3 pointer since December so I doubt he will all of a sudden turn the corner.

Can he hit ANYTHING other than a layup?

He is killing our offensive sets.

With Willis out Murray was working his butt off but he nor Tyler could drive because Briscoe's man was sitting in the paint.

It is one of the 3 mindnumbing issues I have with this team:

Briscoe acts like he has never shot a bball...ever.
Skal acts like he has never played in the post...ever.
Lee acts like he has never played basketball...ever.

Just think...

If Isiah could be just Julius Mays level...

If Skal could be Cedric Jenkins level...

If Lee could be Andre Riddick level...

Not all world, just decent.

I don't know. Could you develop into a 3-point threat by tournament time?

Ummm NO... Why Cal has anyone shoot but Ulis/Murray/Willis in the last 3 minutes is a mystery. We will lose after a deep run in March because of this.

Rather have Ulis and Murray jack from 30 feet than the rest of the crew shoot.

OP, are you actually watching these games? Briscoe might be the worst shooting guard I've ever seen at any level. His performance today from outside the charging arch was atrocious. Why he thinks it's a good idea to take long two's, one step inside the arch, with 15 seconds on the shot clock is beyond me. His shooting percentage might actually be in single digits after tonight.
I would try to turn Marcus Lee into a three point shooter before I tried to fix Bricksoe's shot.

No.... He has been shooting jump shots since grade school and he still can't hit water from a canoe.
The very fact he takes these shots with such a low probability of scoring absolutely astounds me.
His game is driving to the basket, rebounding and playing defense. He is an asset for that reason.

If Briscoe isn't in the practice gym shooting 1000 shots a day he's screwing up.
However, if he has been practicing that hard and he STILL shoots this bad there's no hope for him.

He's making it harder than it has to be. I love the kid. I love his attitude, I love his toughness and I love his determination but dam he can't shoot.

A guard that can't shoot is like a gun without a trigger, especially at the next level.

Ordinarily I would just leave a thread alone that doesn't interest me or that I think is crazy but this thread is just too ridiculous. OP are you being serious? This takes the cake.

Pretty much this.

I love his fight and toughness, dude is tough as nails, but his offensive game just kills us at times.
Yep, love him and want him in the game for defense, rebounding, and driving ability. Love his fight and fire. But please cut the jumpers out for now Briscoe.
