Cameron Mills

Cameron has already said Reed is ahead of his dad at the same stage.

Jeff played one season in the NBA.

Reed looks like he could be a long-term NBA player.
Reed looks like a lottery pick honestly. If he had better measurables there is no doubt he would be a top 15 pick at this rate. He’s a fine athlete but not 8 feet arms, or bolt like 40 times. Sad because he really can play. Any team who takes him is getting a steal much like Tyler Herro was. Reed is even more well rounded though.

I'm not gonna go overboard praising Reed and Dillingham too much. Lots of season to go. Both are playing well but still freshman and the season can weigh on them later.

Very excited how they are doing. Hope others get going and some 7 footers get on the court.

The NBA will want him to excel as a distributor because of his height. Herro's bread and butter was his ability to shoot over defenders at 6'5". Monk at 6'3" at least could also elevate over defenders.

My opinion: at 6'2"ish, Reed won't have that advantage. He's going to have to become an elite distributor before the NBA considers him as a potential lottery pick.

He’s pretty damn good as a passer.

Anybody else think his tv partner is his doppelganger?
Yes. Darren Headrick. And the two of them together are unlistenable. My 22 year old son even texted me the other night and said how bad they both are. Hope we are done with them now that ESPN + games are done. Just brutal.

I honestly tune out the commentators for the most part.

I've heard others on here say the same though.

Selfishly ... I think if he stays all four years, there's a good chance he could grow to 6'5", at least, and improve his draft-stock immensely.

John Stockton was only 6'1". Steve Nash was 6'3". Reed reminds me of both. Jeff Hornacek is 6'3" too.

Mills knows Shep very well. Played with him for years. Guarantee he sees the similarities
No doubt, the similarities are very clear to anyone who saw Jeff back in the day. Both guys are smart players and both can shoot it well. I think Jeff did more drive and pull ups offensively because defenders couldn't block his pull up jumper due to that ridiculous vertical leap. I think Reed may be a little bit better defender and maybe a better 3pt shooter. I would take either in their prime. 👍

That's the thing I remember about Shep, just how high he was on that pull-up jumper. A jumper.

He got a lot of Rex comparisons when he first got to UK. Did some nasty dunks... especially on some poor Arkansas dude in Bud Walton IIRC

I believe Reed has a better set of handles as well...

I personally love Mr. 50% from 3-pointer. Cameron Mills could marry my daughter LOL.

I remember what he did in 1998. Very fondly
