Per Jeff Borzello... Kentucky, Arizona, Ohio St., Oregon, TCU, UCLA. Still don't see a decision date anywhere.

TCU could play a factor as that is where Jaime Dixon now is. Still think he is a Cat though.

Pretty broad spectrum. I have no idea about the particulars of each team except UK.

Well, if you take the early reports seriously, this looks good for UK. Most were saying UK, Michigan and Florida were the top 3 -- and two of those three didn't make the final cut.

This was exactly my thinking. If UF or UM didn't make the cut maybe he's just picking a few other schools he'd like to visit. Maybe he's got his heart and mind set on UK but wants to see other schools to see if something dramatically jumps out at him. Don't know but from his list at the beginning this has to bode well for us.

I'd take Johnson and Bamba to close out the class. That would leave one open scholarship correct? Does Cal try and fill it or save it for the next class?

Schools to add just for visits, American U in Puerto Rico, Hawaii-Hilo, Anchorage-Alaska, Key West University, and Montana.

Yes. Definitely schools I'd visit for shizzles and giggles. But I'm talkin legit basketball schools to see if there's anything out there that'd make him change his mind or at least have a second thought about us. More like he's lookin for schools to compare us to to make sure he's makin the right choice.

Again, Cal coached Cam Johnson's father at Pitt in the late 80's. If Cal wants this Kid he will be in a KY uniform next year

Sean Miller played with his father--so that helps their cause too.

Obviously the family values relationships (UK, AZ, and TCU--Dixon) and other schools are offering a lot of playing time. So what will win out? Based on father's comments about wanting to see his son go to a program that has a chance to win a NC--I'd say it's a UK vs Arizona battle.

Johnson is not going to be the nail that holds this team together. In fact he will be a role player hoping to hit lightning his senior year.

Playing time will be Vanderbilt and Washington at the forwards. Johnson will back up the players currently on the team and be player #9.

His choice will depend on what playing time he wants.

This is Cals recruit IF he really wants him. Just because we offer doesn't mean we're moving God and Country to land him. Hope Cal is making this guy a priority. We will need him badly.

Cal should have a good idea whether we are out with Knox after the visit yesterday. I would guess if he ain't feeling it with Knox, he will go all in with CJ.

Well hopefully one of those 2 can be able to average double digits and shoot over 40% from beyond the arc.

I like the idea of Johnson. An upperclassman we could have for years. Let's take him and Bamba, and go win a title.

Back with the negative stuff on Johnson. He will back up up to 3 posistions 2 guard, sf, and possibly some situational 4. If Bam doesn't come back easy 15 to 20 min a game next year. But glad to see that you don't have Diallo starting the 3 anymore like you were last time you were Trolling this subject. All I know is Louisville isn't on the list at all!

I think Johnson would fall right into the same role as Willis has played for this team, i.e. A guy whose defensive liabilities may limit his time on the floor, but that you put in the game when you need someone who can hit a 3. Wiltjer filled that same role for the championship team.

I still believe by the recruiting right now Coach Cal still thinks he can land both Bamba and Knox. It would seem to me with Cam Johnson and having two years left and I watched him during the North Carolina game where he went 9/12 and 6/9 from 3 for 24 points that he is the real deal as a shooter and stands 6'8. It just seems since now that UF and Michigan don't seem to be in the picture that Coach Cal would just go get Johnson now and then Bamba if he is waiting on the Bam decision. It just feels that Coach Cal is still wanting Kevin Knox real bad over Cam Johnson.

Recruiting is a long process.

You invest over a year in a kid like Knox, you can't just walk away at the end and turn all your attention to a kid that just started showing interest a few weeks ago. That is not how the process works and Johnson knows this.

It would look bad on Cal if he jumped ship on Knox just because the "experts" say Knox is going elsewhere.

He will wait it out and see what happens. Then, when Knox goes elsewhere, he can concentrate on Johnson.

Johnson hasn't graduated and hasn't visited. He has said he is a long way from making a decision.

Cal has offered, the kid knows where he stands and seems to be fine with that. We just have to wait and let the process play out.

But there has been just too much time and energy invested in Knox for Cal to just give up just a few weeks from the decision.

Cal is patient and understands how these things work. It works more times than not in recruiting, which is why he is the master.
