Nope... I doubt I will. The limited formatting capability of the bb codes break everything I did for formatting. I don't have the motivation to rewrite the code to parse all the new fluff in the actual thread to find people's picks. In short, I'd estimate that I'd have 3 man months work to do and still would have no good way to format the results. The bb code implementation for these forums is extremely limited. When I looked at alternatives like maybe using polls, I figured out I'd have to implement something that actively poked keystrokes at the web page. That was more than I want to do.
I don't have the time to run them manually. I put out a call several weeks ago to anyone interested in taking it over. If they haven't changed the odds site formatting, I could post the SUP picks, but I don't have any way to automate the results or post them in a reasonable fashion.
As the one and only two time champion and reigning champion I am sorry to hear that this is coming to an end. Would there be anyway to have one page on its own with a link from here to that page that could keep the same formatting? Then results could b cut and pasted back here?

In all seriousness would my suggestion make sense to keep the game going here, I am not the best on a computer and really have no idea what Red is speaking about coding and so forth....

I'd be willing to do a preseason game with predictions of all the games. Predictions would need to be listed before kickoff of the first game. Simple format. Much like Reds game. With so few regular season games it wouldn't be too bad. A labor of love. Winner would have the lowest point total. If you get the winner, 0 points. Predict the wrong winner, get 20 points. Then 1 point for each point you missed the winning margin, win or lose. Simple. Anyone interested in that? A mod may need to pin the thread if you can do that with this new format. I wouldn't worry with weekly winners, just the overall season as it plays out. Weekly updates wouldn't be too bad. What do you guys think.
Dave, the formatting would be amateurish at best. I may check the the Vegas odds site to see if the formatting there is the same. I could post the odds but all of the checking to make sure people don't post after game kickoff, the compiling of the results, etc is more than I have time to do manually. It worked in the past because I had it all automated and it didn't take much time.
Old Red since I am the one and only two time champion (said for wannabe only.). Maybe I can retire and help you. I can manually check for you and send you the results. Sunday afternoons doing meaningless mindless work brings me great pleasure.
