Purdue loses early. They are Edey and nothing else. They played in an extremely weak big ten. Possible 16-1 upset? I will laugh.

I had thought they would be a bad match for us and have changed my mind. I hope we are in their region. Edey is a handful and will be a problem for all 3 centers. But, if Z regains his outside shot he's a problem for Edey because we could pull him away from the basket. Actually same for Trey on offense but defensively only Ugo would have a shot to stop him and likely quick fouls.

Houston is really good and tough, but unless I’m wrong I don’t see anyone over 6’8 in their rotation.
That could allow for times where Edwards is the 4 and Adou the 5.
That would allow 4 dynamic scorers with dilly/dj
Reed
Reeves
Edwards
Adou

At this point UConn is the only top seed I want to avoid until final four.

A matchup which would make them **** their pants would be Samford with Bucky the Presser. That guy pressing them all game would make Painter's "onion loaf" Steve Alford 'do part sideways.

I think they'll get to Sweet 16 this year-and lose there, but will wait to see the Bracket come out to judge who is in trouble.

You think Cal actually thinks about rotation mismatches?

People think Purdue lost to Fairleigh Dickinson in the 1-16 game last year because FD went crazy shooting from 3.

That's a myth. FD was 7/23 - just 30 percent. They shot just 39 percent overall. And FD was significantly outrebounded.

The two stats FD dominated in that game against Purdue were steals and turnovers. Sheppard would be a nightmare for them, as would Kentucky's quartet of guards overall.

Please put them as the #1 seed in Kentucky's region.

Everyone is worried about Houston but they play in a crappy league so hard to truly judge. U. Conn seems more like the real deal.

Mcneese state would give them all kinds of problems as well

It's Houston and Uconn, then Purdue. Then a group of 6 or so in a pick'em. Agree Purdue is really flawed and easily exploited by the right team and coach.

1s will be Houston, Uconn, Purdue, and UNC.

Houston and Uconn are the most complete team. They may miss shots and lose, but have no glaring weakness to exploit.

Having said that, we have "better" players in key spots than some of those teams. They just consistently play better "as a team" overall. Largely due to experience together.

Connecticut is the team I’m predicting goes out in the 2nd round or S16. They have not been challenged in a bad league and Hurley is actually a pompous ass. UConn is the overrated top seed this year

They're in the Big 12 now. Much tougher than where they were and they dominated. They're the scrappiest bunch I've seen this year. Definitely a team that can win it all.

I forget the announcers I heard recently who were going on and on about how Edey is a horrible defender. That could be their biggest weakness.
