Several things have led to my Cal discontent in recent years:

1) NBA draft night being the "most important night in UK basketball history"

2) Team taking a knee ON THE ROAD at UF. The coward would not have let this happen this at Rupp.

3) Talking down to the Basketball Bennies........constantly

4) Repeatedly saying "he forgot" or need "to play more" certain players. What a liar.

5) Absolute refusal to try different things when they are needed (unless you enjoy our man to man on underneath the goal out of bounds plays repeatedly getting scored on).

6) Constantly playing lineups that have either one or no shooters in it.

7) Getting beat at the SEC Tourney and then saying he can't wait to get home to his dogs. (screw the fans that save and spend hundreds/thousands to attend)

8) Stopping the Cats from participating in the Maui tournament. (again...screw the fans and what they like).

This is by no means an all inclusive list. But it's more than enough for me to say goodbye.

Will he be fired? Nope. Just like Tubby wouldn't have been fired.

Win you win at a high level, fans will accept a certain amount of stubbornness and Caliparisms.

When you go 9-16 and then lose as a 2 seed to St Peter's.....patience vanishes. My 2 cents

In a sick, twisted, Triple C sort of way he is getting a kick out of this. He loves raping the fan base and collecting his ten mil every year knowing he has more money than he can ever spend all while spitting in the faces of the BBN. The man is a fraud. And right now he’s got the bball program right where he wants it.

It absolutely didn't need to be this way..............

The crazy thing is he could swallow his pride, hurt a few kids’ feelings, win a national title this year with the talent he has, and be king again. However, he’s too stubborn and would rather burn everything down. It’s truly mind blowing.

Your #2 is so ridiculous. Quit reading after I saw that one. Blows my mind that this bothered the number of people it did.

4-7 have genuine merit. #1 is a fallacy, look at his current team and last year for that matter; #2 I won't debate, didn't agree with but have the ability to realize the situation; #8 whatever...could care less Abt Maui

#1 He said it............so its not really a fallacy

#2 There's a reason he didn't allow it at home, but disrespected the University of Florida at their place. No way he wanted the heat it would cause at Rupp. Most everyone who has served in the military and/or law enforcement (I have) were upset. So were countless others who didn't serve in either.

#8 is like #7 Fan wishes/desires for THEIR program............# 8 may not matter to you, but it does matter to thousands.... just like #7 does to you and thousands

I'm ready for Cal to go for one reason. He doesn't put UK first. That's no surprise, he even says it. Boasts it, in fact.

Good on him for being true to himself. But it's time to do that somewhere else.

Cal is going to be very hard to replace. But it's time. We need a coach here that cares as much about winning games for UK as the fans care.

Face it…we got conned. We didn’t realize for the first 5 years and now we’re in a never ending purgatory of paying the price for selling our soul to the devil.

Sure feels like we made a deal and after all the FF’s it’s been heartache and roughness. I wish we would have finished our 2015 40-0, or not got cheated in 2017, or finished the deal in 2014. It would have all been worth it. Now we have to pray he gets some way to do it these last 2 classes because he won’t get more if he chokes again.

We can agree to disagree on #1. IMO that was always a recruiting ploy, like it or not. If he was only about getting guys to the NBA he wouldn't be playing Wheeler over Wallace at point. He wouldn't be playing Lance Ware at all. Etc.

Fully understand #2 is a sensitive subject and like I said do not agree with what Cal and team did. That said due to whatever the nature of our world was at that time feel like he was between a rock and a hard place.

Regarding the tournament, understood.

I mean that’s why he’s lost it though, he used to not play guys like Ware at all. Now for some reason he’s squeezing them in every chance he gets. I still think his priority is getting kids to the pros over what’s best for us. Having Collins float around the perimeter, Livingston doing nothing by spotting up in corner 3’s, encouraging Oscar to shoot long jumpers, having the wrong lineups in trying to get forwards to be versatile “wings.” Stuff like that.
