With as much as Mark Emmert hates him and would love to take him down, with every sports writer in the nation digging for it wanting to be the guy who breaks the story... with recruits going to other schools and never talking about the money they turned down from UK and John Calipari... somehow Calipari is just handing out cash like an ATM.... hey, it could happen...in a land of Unicorns, Big foot..and pots of gold at the end of rainbows..Calipari could get away with paying players with as many eyes as there are watching him...

On second thought, any fan of another school that believes it, is just PLAIN OLD IGNORANT!!
Reality, a top 5 coach and the best at getting kids into the NBA, at the #1 basketball school in the history of the sport....just brings top recruits and recruiting classes..year after year....get over it... or, keep believing in unicorns...whatever floats your boat!

Coming to Kentucky is all about how it will benefit the individual player. If a player perceives that he will benefit most at Kentucky and is offered a spot, he will attend the University of Kentucky and play basketball. I will believe until proven otherwise though that all benefits are provided as to not violate the eligibility requirements of the NCAA for student athletes. Generally speaking the biggest benefits for these players are to get the highest draft spot possible, maximize exposure, play with great players in practice, and win at a high level.

pretty much, when you get the top class for 8 years strait i know for a fact they have checked every inch of Cals body for even a hint of wrong doing. It would make the front page of every paper in the world. Cal is clean.

Unfortunately, the narrative hasn't changed with many rival fan bases. All ya got to do it jump on one of their boards and I guarantee you can find tons of posts in the 1st 5 mins that says Cal pays players.

Now, you're right with the realistic fans and the ones who think logically. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain that he doesn't need to do any of that crap. If Duke gets a recruit over us, it's idiotic as hell to actually believe that Coach K paid the player more than what was offered elsewhere. Yet, we still see DA fans try to say that these big time schools just have more money to pass out. I guess the fact that Cal gets kids to the league faster than anyone has nothing to do with their commitment. Lol
