Cal

Yeah…. It was a great win and I hope he finally is accepting and sees what everyone else has saw all year. Not giving him “credit” for playing the lineups and ppl at positions that have been obvious since December. I WILL ABSOLUTELY give him credit for us looking prepared for a change and having a gameplan to stop Bamas Offense. That was a pleasant change.

Edwards is a college 4.

If Edwards is at the 3 you have to play 2 guards not named Wagner.

Wagner is a solid and valuable piece but if he is in, you have to be in a 3 guard lineup for spacing and shooting.

90%+ of our minutes should be 3 guard lineups.

Z needs minutes and Bradshaws time just isn’t now (hope he comes back). Matchup dependent Ugo or Z are the option.

Cal has been stubborn about all those things to a detriment all season even when it was obvious since Dec.

Absolutely thrilled for the win and hope Cal is finally on the same page moving forward with everyone else.

(But I expect him instead to come out and make it about “him sticking w Edwards” when the bigger truth is moving Edwards to the 4 where his current skill can be maximized in CBB instead of his projected pro position.)

Just dumb as hell to question a HOF coach with 6 FF’s when you have no clue about coaching.

Lol gonna do this after every win? I'll pat Cal on the back for a 10 game win streak.
This ! ! !
PLUS ... I'd bet my life that the way this game was played was based on the insistence of some combination of the assistant coaches. Everybody on this board knows that this great win over 'Bama and this great team performance by the 'Cats today was not a Calipari-kind-of-game. Somebody finally convinced him to get out of the way ... at least, for today.

He said in the presser he woke up yesterday and had a gut feeling to play Z. And he says he's gonna listen to his gut every time. Lmao.

I want to know why Z hasn't been playing more because he changes the game as a threat with the pick and roll and seems fully capable of getting blocks on defense. He also has the most mobility of the 3 bigs by far.

This is pretty accurate. Big Z needs Bradshaws minutes but UGO still needs the big share of the minutes at the 5. One of Reed or Dilly needs to be in at any given time. Other than that you nailed jt.

Great post. We should be a 2 seed knocking on the door of a 1, if not for Cal’s perpetual lineup mismanagement.

Need to prove the rest of the season that we can string tough wins together and stay focused. At MSU will be difficult. At UT even more so. The home games vs Arkansas and Vandy should be 30 point blowouts if we are putting it all together for a March run.
