if you think it was just Calapari, you are kidding yourself, more to do with the whole slime of AAU ball and recruiting in general...hence why Donovan started going to the transfer route

college basketball recruiting is at it's lowest point, and just getting worse

Hah, college basketball recruiting is bad but has NOTHING on the sleaziness of college football recruiting.

Of course Florida fans think they're clean while implying we're the dirty ones. Typical.

Donovan had his chance to coach and recruit here and we would've loved him like no other, but he blew it and lived to pay the price. He really didn't think he would get to reign supreme over us forever while we continued to wallow in mediocrity, did he?

Sorry about his damn luck, better luck to him in OKC.

That funny, Billy the Kid has been wanting to go to the NBA for yrs, he about did it a few yrs ago, everything is blame on coach Cal..

No coach in the country has outperformed Calipari. But Donovan is an elite coach and competitor. Keep in mind that Donovan has coached at Kentucky, and almost certainly turned down our head coaching position at least once. The head to head coaching matchup with Calipari is being overblown, and I think Donovan's remarks on the matter may have been taken a little bit out of context. Unlike his disgusting mentor in Louisville, Donovan had always been a gracious man. He and Calipari have always been complimentary toward each other. As recently as a year ago, Donovan was holding his own in the competition. Donovan had a fantastic run at Florida, including 2 national championships and the recent FF appearance. His ambition to coach in the NBA has been clear since he lunged at the Orlando Magic job a couple of years ago. The OKC job is a good opportunity for him to follow his ambitions. I'll say this. He sure picked a good time to leave. Next year will not be pretty in the O'Connor Center.

It's just stupid to insinuate that Cal drove him to drinking so he got in that hot rod Lincoln and got the hell out of town. He had that car hitting the guard rail post and his knuckles were white as a ghost finally made it to Oklahoma City and thought he was sitting pretty looked in that rear view mirror and their was Cal grinning ear to ear.

I'm sure of the 150 or so top athletes were not getting all 150 every year. He did sign 2 guys in the top 10 and they have not performed to what you would have thought.

I always knew Coach Cal and Billy D were good friends.
To think Calipari drop everything in a crucial time to drive his buddy from Gainesville to Oklahoma City, A noble gesture indeed.
Hey it is a joke, before some morons think I'm a 9 year old.
