Cal does understand the game, right?

These posts are hilarious . He did everything right in the last 5 minutes or so. Every play call worked . those out of bounds plays were beautiful and that play drawn up between Z and Dilly was insane.
We're all glad UK won today, and Cal's instincts proved solid today, but you never post when UK is absolutely crapping the bed. You disappear for weeks and months at a time with absolutely nothing to add to the conversation when Kentucky is struggling.

Why is that, @caneintally ?

Seemed like for the most part he played the right guys the whole game. Even when we started losing the right guys were on the court.

True, but usually he just rolls out the ball. And whatever he’s trying to teach on defense is just awful.
Dillingham won that game with Z’s help. Now, Cal probably told him to, but it worked out either way.

Cal is sand bagging. When we're in trouble he rushes to the most talented lineup and runs the Dilly/Shep/Reeves pick n roll with Z to death. Maybe he thinks he can just turn it on and off strategically but he definitely seems to realize what our best chance to win is

Yeah the OOB plays and the two man game he ran with Z and Rob was fantastic. I think it was 4 trips in a row first Rob scored they didn’t leave Z, then Z got a lob because they helped on Rob, then they stayed home on Z and Rob got another layup, then they helped on Rob and Z got another lob. Just had no answer for it. Then they were so worried about it Justin was open two plays in a row and cashed in.

To be fair I think some people check out during bad times. After we lose I get so pissed I can’t stand having to read anything that reminds me about the game, so I stay off message boards/twitter/etc the rest of the day

I honestly am surprised by this thread.
I thought Cal was brilliant and coached one of his best games.

No he doesn’t. Cal is the best coach in the college game.

Except for Mitchell. Left him out there too long when he was giving us nothing. Thiero must have been hurt second half.
I suspect he intended to get Mitchell's game back to where it was before his injuries. That might be a useful tool to have late in the season.

Reeves didnt play during the last 4 or 5 minutes. I think Cal stayed with Rob, DJ and Reed during that stretch. Dillingham was unreal during the last part of the game. He carried the team with scoring and assists. Love that kid...

Yeah DJ was in for Reeves but at the end it was the Nuclear Five lineup (minus Reeves plus DJ) that won us the game. It's just too good

Razorbacks were 27 for 28 from FT Lines and shot 53% from field.
Only committed 12 turnovers and scrapped like it was win or die.
They scored 102 points and still lost.

UK had 7 guys in double figures.
19 assists + and outrebounded them by 7

They would bitch no matter if we held the scoreless, it’s the agenda they have

Yes, I was frustrated at the extended play, and bad play, of Tres. Tres isn't ready yet, he's still rusty. Cals performance in the last few minutes was good.

Shit yes he is the best in the world! And let's not limit it to just college. The NBA, The NFL, the high school level. I bet he could even be a great pool coach. Whether shooting pool or swimming either way he could bring out the best in them and making dreams come true. That Cal is really something. 🥸

Listen to everything Cal says here. I'm convinced he knows what to do when it's winning time with this team. I felt like a proud Bennie watching this.

Musselman fell asleep, got too caught up crying to refs and didn't notice his team was wilting both physically and emotionally down the stretch. Yet finished the game with 3 timeouts in his pocket! I thought his game plan was good but he lost it coaching his team today.

Cal stayed calm and pushed the right buttons. Letting Bradshaw get some run in the 1st half paid off. Z and Wagner rounding into form. I agree with others, Mitchell was just awful out there and I know Cal wants to get him back to Nov. form asap. With Edwards rounding into form .... we're officially dangerous. I dunno about 6 straight as emotional consistency as been an issue. But we could take out a top team.

I always feel like this team's best game is still ahead of them. Hope we get to see it while this group is together.

Never be surprised by these threads on this message board.

If some of these people stopped being miserable, they'd have nothing to do

Very true Arkansas was dead ass tired with 2 guys fouled out and he took 3 timeouts home with him.

I mean he started to hurt us and then was taken out and not seen from again. Not sure you can predict that before a guy sees the court.
