I'll bet there were some idiotic posts at half time of that game too. There was a difference though. Kentucky had Ulis for that game.

Buffalo's KenPom ranking was 148 coming into the game. Illinois State was 144.

Another difference was Ulis was the backup last year, but I agree with your point and am not arguing with you. Think you guys were also losing 25-23 to Columbia at halftime last year also if my memory serves me right.

Which coincidentally I believe Ulis and Booker both missed that game. That was a terrible game to watch. Much worse than tonight for sure.

Correct. Ulis was back-up for a pair of guards who had taken Kentucky to the Final Four. Other starters included future NBA #1 draft choice Karl Towns, and future lottery pick Wilie Cauley Stein, among other soon-to-be NBAers who played for UK that night like Trey Lyles and Devin Booker.

Scary group of talent. Which makes it amazing how Cal is able to reload so quickly to take their places and have another group of guys in the hunt for a Final Four/national title.
