Excellent article on Bud in the LHL this AM. Will be the first person on his mother's side of the family to get a 4 year college degree. He promised her he would stay in school and graduate, no matter what. So, when he had 3 classes to finish this spring (college of Agriculture, Community Development?), and even though he obviously won't need the degree to get a good start in the job market he juggled NFL workouts, and the draft, then meetings with the Steelers, along with the school work and will walk in commencement tomorrow.
Call me old school, and not pointing any fingers at some other programs near and dear to UK fans, because I know reasonable people can and will disagree, but Dupree is the kind of student athlete that came in as a freshman, where we all got to see play for four years, and achieved on the field and equal, if not more importantly, in the classroom, that I can really be proud of to represent my university.
