I’m more disappointed in CRod than Levi’s however, I’m no longer a fan of either.
Online rumors are he and other players got really good insurance deal terms by Birmingham based company in case of catastrophic injury. Most of what a first round signing bonus is for 2023 draft if injury were to have happened today that prevented playing in 2023. Boosters covered the fees.
I don’t agree with Levis sitting out but can at least understand why he chose to do so. CROD however is a 5th rounder most likely. Why in hell did he sit out? The toughness demeanor he displayed over his career is undone with that idiotic decision.
Tell me how bringing Levis and CRod along for aid in practicing (or whatever the hell they did) helped the team. 0 points is all that got. If they wanna be there "for their brothers," then play.
I appreciate a guy like Young who sticks it out. I also much prefer a guy who opts out of bowling gets on his way instead of dragging along with a team to a game he won't play in. Thank them for all they did, but tell them to start preparing for the next stage.
