Bryce Young playing in bowl game

Speaking of bowl game, Troy is up 18-12 with two and a half left in the game and Sumrall is going nuts 😳
Maybe because Beth Mowins is calling the game 🍺

Bamas line keeps him clean. This is not even close to Levis’ deal

I also doubt young plays if they are playing buttcrack Iowa in the music city bowl.

I normally think they should play everytime. With levis though I didn't want him to play. Honestly for the 1st time ever this post season feels like the basketball team making the NIT. They're a few bad special teams plays and a couple stupid plays from being 10-2 and playing in a major bowl. Instead their 7-5 and the game is meaningless. Funny a few years back 7-5 would have had fans estatic and the MCB would be sold out

If the game was meaningless then their wouldn't be an F'n game. That could be a huge win for us and for recruiting. Putting a bunch of back ups out there could shed negative light on the program if we get trounced.

That's just another example of why we need our players.

I always like what you post but you’re wrong on this one sir. When you are joining the team, you’re part of the team, until the end. I know I’m getting old and left in the minority but what the hell has happened? If I can’t be on top of the money, forget the ones that helped me get there. I promise, we are watching the downfall of college athletics and this kind of excuse just keeps on fueling the fire. Enjoy college athletics while you can… it’s just about done.

Bryce Young may be my favorite non-UK player in a loooong time. The guy is an amazing player. And contrary to popular belief, the Bama line was not good this year. He ran for his life in many games- the guy is unbelievable
Bama loses 4 or 5 games without him.

They weren't near as good as normal at the playmaker or line .. or secondary.

I think they should all play. I'm probably wrong but levis played hurt almost all year and got beat to death. If he's truly not healthy as they keep saying I see why he would sit. The rest should be playing.

I can't help but wonder what's happened to their coaching. They have the most talent of any team in the country, only UGA is close. They have not looked good is several areas. Idk how good wolf is but that line should be unreal with the talent they have. They're secondary got destroyed against UT. Maybe age is starting to catch Saban. Definitely think losing a few key assistants has caught up to them

Can't get mad at Levis or C-Rod for sitting out. They've given a lot and they've both taken a serious beating this year. Valentine on the other hand is silly. He's a mid round pick who had a solid year but is only a junior. He could have come back, made an all-SEC team, and bumped himself up a couple rounds all while getting his degree. Probably says it all when in his statement he said he had accomplished all there was to accomplish at the collegiate level. If he thinks being a conference average corner on a 7-5 team is his ceiling, then we're better off getting a replacement for him.

Speaking of our Iowa game and sticking it out for your teammates, Cade McNamara bailed on Michigan before their playoff appearance, and although he did not get much PT this year, he is by far the most experienced backup for UM, if McCarthy twists an ankle, then I guess Harbaugh has to go to a true freshman and most likely the Wolverines are screwed, including the other 84 players on the team and millions of their fans.

But hey, McNamara had to do what's best for him, and its all about the players, right?
The dude just had Knee surgery last month and you want him to stay and be a backup ready to play? Lol

It's the sugar bowl. Aka a new years 6 bowl.

The playoff and new years 6 matter more than one of the other 35 who cares bowl.

I've been saying this since last off-season

I live in Alabama.. used to work for Saban at his Mercedes store..

..saban has lost something. He's made some mistakes off field that NEVER would have happened even 3 or 4 years ago.

I'm normally for players playing in bowl games but I have no problem with Levis and Crod opting out. They gave UK their all. This will give our younger guys valuable reps in bowl practice and the game.

I dont get Crod sitting out. But his choice

And Young had good legs all year and avoided many sacks. Not trying to compare penus size, just making a point that the Bama O line struggled as well.
Well I mean, It’s a good thing for you that you don’t get into a hog measuring contest with ole Rocky.

Those two mentioned aren't quitters. They also don't need tampons.

Let the hate flow through you but this is just how I was raised and live. You NEVER quit on your team, friends, family or co-workers.

Had a better line than ours. And maybe not as good as they have been in the past, still a very good line compared to Kentuckys. I’m sure Will would play if the staff wanted him to.

Does it really though?

Hell yes the playoff matters more. It's really the only part of college footballs postseason that matters.

The bowl games are glorified exhibitions but at least the new years 6 are high level teams playing for the most part.

Alabama isn't in the playoffs.

Barkin up the wrong hedge with that one. People that are casual football fans aren't going to get it. People that haven't played won't get it.

.........

The fact that there are people and players that think they are "virtual slaves" playing sports for the entertainment of "the man" should tell us a lot about the generations suiting up and the ones to come. There are quite a few that think they are owed millions because the athletic depts bring in millions. Like they don't spend it giving them what they already get.

Some just don't understand the game or the business side of college athletics, or life, and it shows with some of the majors they choose. It would be really interesting to actually show them the ridiculous bills paid so they can put on a new jersey for 4 hours or so once each week. It really is ludicrous that we even have the set up we do.

It should fail and we should let it. But it won't for a little while still. It's all silly, but if youre going to play football or do ANYTHING you think is worthwhile, you don’t quit before the last snap. Winners just don't.

Some day online gaming will be more popular than college and pro sports. NIL isn’t sustainable except for those few that have the resources to stay on the top.
