That would put bars at the side to get it to the 4:3 ratio of standard definition.

If you have Directv, you have it in HD. There are no black bars for me

Yeah I have Directv. Picture is good but the sound is muted. Anyone else on directv seeing that. Sound level was normal during the SEC sports center prior to the game but as soon as the game started I had to crank the volume way up.

I have Directv and I agree the sound sucks. My biggest gripe is the on field reported is ugly. Lol

I have the bars. The picture quality also does not appear to be HD. Im at at my sons which is in Shepherdsville and he has Time Warner. IMO the pic quality is not HD its more like watching an analog game which was fine in the analog days but now just looks blurry.
