Thanks for fighting , you were about the only player that appeared to refuse to give in . Yea you fouled too much , still I felt you deserved your own thread so as to not get bundled into the half hearted effort by the rest .
Yea they called him for ticky tack fouls but I was hoping he would realize they were calling him tight and back off .In all fairness if he guarded anyone they called a foul.

I agree, and will go further. To date I'm more impressed with Briscoe than Murray despite his shooting pretty well from 3 tonight. Barely better from 2 though. Just overall one of the poorer performances I seen from the staff and team in Cal's tenure at UK. We had no business being taken to the woodshed by this UCLA team. I suspect this team will lose a number of games on the road in the SEC unless they start to get things turned around quickly. And right now after this loss I'm not exactly looking forward to playing KU on their home floor.
Wouldn't take much effort as soft as Humphries and Skal are.He played great! he played tough. He and Ulis needs to beat up Humphries and Skal.
BTW< Humphries played Rugby? yeah...okay.
Have to agree. I thought our 1st L would be at Kansas.I agree, and will go further. To date I'm more impressed with Briscoe than Murray despite his shooting pretty well from 3 tonight. Also, why not use Mulder some to force UCLA get out of the paint on defense? Cal as brilliant as he is doesn't do well with mid-game adjustments. We had no shooters in the the game and did nothing to put some on the floor. Constantly yanking players out of the game for a single mistake which caused our young players to play way too indecisively. He has completely screwed up Skal's confidence. I understand the desire for Skal to occasionally play post up, but Skal will never be a post up player and he will certainly not do that in the NBA. He needs to let him do what he does well on offense which is to face the basket. Skal currently looks like a mid-level player that got outplayed by some stiff with a 2 inch vertical.
Briscoe has a refuse to lose attitude . Hopefully, the free throws improve over the season . It hurts right now that when he is fouled it is like a turnover if he doesn't start converting. An early loss is not the worst thing that can happen . UK needed a wake up call as it appears they are going through the motions after the Duke win ( not Briscoe or Ulis).
