I'm happy for Briscoe and hope he makes the team, the only down side is he wont be on campus until the second week of July at the earliest. I know Cal wishes he was in Lexington right now.

Agreed.

Not having Brisce and Murray on campus this summer will hurt a little. Just hope we have Murray by August.

Didn't know when he'd be on campus. Thanks for the headsup cool cat. Mid July could be worse. Having the twins miss all summer really set them back.

Yeah. If he makes the roster the championship is on July 5th. I doubt he comes on down to Lexington right after. Most likely he'll take a week at home first.

Why are you so angry? The chance to play for team USA only benefits Briscoe. Doesn't benefit UK or Cal in any way really. Team USA is a shoe-in for the gold with or without Briscoe and he's played team USA basketball before. This is not a new experience for him.

Like I said previously I KNOW Cal wants Briscoe on campus as soon as possible. There isn't a coach in America that would WANT one of their players miss a month and change of time with the team regardless of the reason. Doesn't mean Cal isn't happy for him or proud of him, it just means he'd like to have his team intact as soon as possible. That's not some earth shattering take it's just common sense.

This team has a core of returning players that already know each other well and are comfortable. The freshmen will have them to lean on and be an example as they get adjusted to being at UK.

I definitely agree with you there. Ulis' (for lack of a better term) mentorship will be a major factor for Briscoe's development. I just know coaches like to have everyone on even footing coming out of the gate. It's not the worst thing that could happen though.

The Ulis-Briscoe relationship is going to be interesting.

I think they will spend the majority of the time jawing at the other team and I for one will enjoy every minute.

I read some of Murray's commits after his visit and he seemed to be a team player from what I read. But that would not mean that if he chooses KY that all the gears would line up and mesh together and work like they are supposed to.
