I'm guessing because he is a star level player that plays the same spot as Diallo. Cal maybe trying to recruit a 4 year player that knows he is a 4 year player to back Diallo up rather than recruit someone that wants Diallo's minutes. It will be interesting to see if we start recruiting him now.

Too late now.Word is he is headed to Creighton.

He looked very smooth during the Jordon/Brand game. Had a great shot. I have been wondering if Cal would try to get in with him unless he thinks Diallo will enroll back in school.

He is good but dont get caught up in how he shot in that one game, he aint a 3pt shooter. He is a 3pt misser.

Actually, some of you guys like Cal a little too much. You fit the Cal fan club. Cal over UK for some y'all.

Some of us are smart enough to recognize a good thing when you have it.

Some of you are just mentally challenged and for whatever reason cannot see it. You'll bitch & moan but 15 years from now there will be another coach you're complaining about and you'll refer to the Calipari era as the good old days. That's the history of UK basketball fans

Like I said, Cal over UK for you. That's ok, to each their own.

Maybe he told Cal he wanted to stay more than a yr.
UK is in a awkward position in recruiting right now. It's a good position but awkward. Every kid with very few exceptions that comes to UK has their hopes set on being one and done. If they're not good enough to be drafted after one year their ego takes a hit because some of their buddies are making the jump and rightfully so.

I don't think UK is going to get kids like Justin Jackson that's not necessarily in a hurry to get a pay day. Someone like him wouldn't want to play with a whole new team every season. I'm just speculating but that might've been a concern for Bam and why he decided to stay in the draft. It's frustrating as a fan but Cal produces successful seasons every year. It's hard to complain about anything.

Jackson was awesome.

Knox is not a great 3pt shooter, averaged 35% from deep.

As far as Bowen he may be leaning Creighton but i think he wants some attention. He may be truly undecided ....

However, he is leaving all options on the table when it comes to his college decision. That includes listening to other schools.

He has recently heard from Oregon, Missouri and Ohio State. Troy Brown, an Oregon signee, and Michael Porter, a Missouri signee, were two of the other players playing in the Jordan Brand classic who were trying to convince Bowen to join them at their respective schools.

“Honestly, there’s so many schools calling me because they know I’m undecided,” he said. “These guys here (which also included the likes of DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson and Matt Coleman—other players at the Jordan Brand Classic who are signed to schools on Bowen’s list) are pushing their coaches on me (and) to go to their schools.”

Interesting but I can't see him considering UK because of the Diallo situation.Doubt if we know until the last minute what his decision is and I can't see Bowen taking the time to wait and see.

What's obvious is I realize you don't get great opportunities to hang banners all the time. When you do, you need to hang them. We've missed out on quite a few lately. My agenda is wanting more titles than any other team in college basketball.
