He’s gonna be another kid we thought was a lock early that goes elsewhere. I’ve even heard Cal hasn’t even been paying much attention to him lately. Guess he has better four star options out there 🙄
What’s funny is if Cal brought him in and he was a bust, you’d be saying “Cal needs to stop recruiting guys that have 5 stars and no talent. Bring in some 4 stars that want to be here and let them develop”.
I just don’t think he’s gonna be that good. I’ve felt kinda blah about him for a while. Not at all heartbroken to hear this.
I've heard there might be a motor issue with him. (Bring on the car jokes). It's kind of like his cousin.
Well the problem is we aren’t recruiting very many other kids besides him and we aren’t the leader for anyone except maybe Hardy, but even he’s looking less likely than before.
This maybe end up being a pretty bad class, easily Cal’s worst, if he don’t get things turned around.

The one thing we can count on is that you and WildcatinStL are a lock to be on here making negative comments about UK and Cal.
Not that it matters what 2 people picked for crystal balls but if UK wants this kid we will get him. Now who knows if we truly want him though.
Might not need him with RS Toppin, probably at least 1 of Jackson/Ware coming back, maybe both, and Fletcher coming back.
And just read UK has moved on from BHH so like I said UK doesn't want him so he won't be coming here. Bet Bobby Maze's ass has something to with Cal backing off. And as you said We will have Toppins and Fletcher as PF ( though Fletcher will play some 3 too ) and Hopkins will sign here and he is a PF too. I also think Ware comes back and thus we just need another big at the 5 to go with him. Jackson will be one and done IMO .
Crazy how fast things change in recruiting. Just weeks ago it was nearly certain that UK would land Banchero, BHH, and Jaden Hardy and now won't get (likely) any of them.

If cal is moving on from a highly regarded guy that was heavily favoring UK, shouldn’t that tell you something about where Cal thinks the roster stands for next season?
Our frontcourt is looking to be in great shape next season. Toppin back for sure, Ware likely back, Fletcher likely back, Hopkins expected to be a Cat, and Lucas has us in a great spot with Collins. If Jackson returns, it’s bonus.
We need backcourt help, namely Hardy and Sallis. Get those two to go with Allen and Hickman and we are looking good.

This could be a banner year, or two, for you and others. You can complain about only getting 4 stars for the upcoming year and , as a bonus, complain that we need to recruit players that will stay more than one or two years, when these players develop far beyond what the experts thought possible. That seems to be the regular cycle.

I’ve watched him play probably 6 times and never understood what all the fuss was about. I didn’t see him dominate one time
I’m fine with this I wasn’t impressed by his overall game. Looked the part of 8ppg and 5 rpg player. Not impressive with starter minutes

I’m not worried about Cal’s approach on some of these guys, but we HAVE to get some of these kids back for their Sophomore and sometimes Junior year if we are not consistently getting top 5 guys. We have had way too many young men either transfer or declare for the draft in the last 4-5 years when they had absolutely no business doing so. Hopefully Cal can find a solid mix moving forward of definite OAD, and guys that come from stable families and won’t jump ship until they are damn ready! No more “money grab” recruits that will maybe last 2-4 years as a two way player in the league.

I’ve said this before I’ve seen him play live. He has DECENT perimeter skills and he’ll probably continue to get better but he is a 4 through and through. He showed at times he didn’t want to get in there and mix it up and with his size and length against aAn undersized local team(albeit great team/program) he sure didn’t play to his size. We can find better. Frankly not tough enough for me.
I'm mentally balanced to where I post positive about positive things and negative about negative things.
of course you ignore the positive things I post. that doesnt fit your agenda of when trying to squash any question about UK ..
if you think logically, look at my likes count... there is no way in hell you get that many likes by always being negative. also comparing me to Zay .. , I like cal , he wants cal to leave. big difference.

I "ignored" Zaytoven, months ago. Manages to put a negative spin on everything.
you might want to follow recruiting closer because insiders and experts are saying we're slipping with Hardy. Started with rumblings that Hardy and his people felt like less of a priority over the past few months.
and i’ve heard hardy and UK had some very positive talk two weeks ago and he is in contact with booker
