Bowl games are a total waste

The tide is turning with all the opt outs, all ballgames. Besides, the playoffs are a mess.

Love how when we win they’re important and we lose then they don’t matter. Didn’t hear anyone saying this about the Citrus Bowl.
All of them are utterly worthless unless it’s the NY6. We just enjoyed the Citrus because we never get that high of a bowl game but no one could ever tell you who won it the year before unless it’s your team.

Just look at a lot of them as a glorified spring game and see younger talent for next year. Probably a good way for coaches to see what they have and where they need to go to the portal to get help too.

You enjoy watching our back to the back up QB throwing TD's TO Iowa??
No. What we would like though is to at least be watching a game this time of year, any game, preferably between 2 teams that actually care about winning it. The other option is play the 12 game season and then just close up shop. Wow, that's sounds way more fun!

You know, the chances of UK ever making even the 12 team playoff under Stoops are pretty slim. So your choice would be to do absolutely nothing after a 12 game season. Play for funsies. "Hey, we participated! Where's our participation ribbon? Good season boys, see you again next year so we can compete for absolutely nothing again!" Sorry, I like watching football more than I like not watching football.

Never said get rid of all bowl games. But, I do think there are way too many of them now. Most of them can't even fill half of a stadium so not too much interest for them. I never felt a team that only goes 6-6 is a good bowl team but that's all it takes. Just my opinion and you don't have to like it but you could maybe respect a post isn't wild crazy.

Just because we treated it like a total waste doesn’t mean it is. Thee have been tons of awesome, entertaining games. I love bowl season.

Next we’re gonna say we finished 7-5 since the game doesn’t count. We only count Bowl games in a final record when we win.

With this mindset what game of the 12 we played were not utterly worthless?

The bowl game was worthless solely because the offense was terrible all season with a first round pick, what good could come of a division 2/3 qb playing and no coordinator.

Had our entire team played this game would have been great and fans would have been just as excited as the last 3 bowl wins and every game we play.

The SEC teams that don't make the playoff (players, really) don't even want to play... which is why I'm at home watching UK instead of in Nashville.

Expand the playoffs (more than the proposed 12) and get rid of the bowl games. Probably limit opt outs as well. Be more interesting games
