Boom is a great talent and is getting tons of praise from fans and coaches. I understand your ego gets bruised when you are yanked and someone is playing better than you. But you cannot let people see your upset and definitely not cheer with your brothers after a huge win!!! Boom we all love you and want you to succeed because you help this team. You are very exciting to watch but we want you to be a member of KENTUCKY!!!!! Not a member of just BOOM!!!! You have to be a team player in this league and on this team. That's all I have to say. Just had to get this off my chest. GO CATS!!!!!!!

I agree. Boom will be fine. I'm sure he felt bad that he didn't have his best game and was just down. Feel sure he'll be ready to go and get back to his game next Saturday.
That's what competitive people do. They get pissed from time to time. I'd bet any amount of money he wasn't mad at his team though. He got mad at himself and didn't want to show it while his brothers were celebrating. You don't make it to be an SEC level athlete without demanding the absolute best out of yourself every single day. He had an off night and was upset at himself. This performance will make him a better player and person. He's about to use Saturday night as motivation and get freak nasty on EKU and Auburn. Get your popcorn ready.
You may have just hit the nail on the head here. Stoops may be trying to push his buttons a little bit and motivate him. He's been great all season but sometimes you don't get your way and you have to fight to get the job back and I think he will. He's a competitor and a damn good one at that. He'll be fine. I'm not worried.
I think it will work out just fine. These are very competitive athletes- but they aren't robots, they have human emotions like the rest of us. I'm sure as hell glad my life wasn't put under a microscope at his age.
Jo Jo did a lot of bench riding last season and seemed to stay positive. I scratched my head and wondered where he was at times? Gotta keep you head up Boom, Saturday may be your day
I saw Stoops address this on the news tonight and he said everyone has to go all out every down. Wasn't that what got Hatcher in trouble?
You scold somebody in practice and challenge them if they aren't giving full effort every down, you don't suspend them for two games. I have to think there was a little more to it than just not putting forth effort.
I think Boom will be fine. He's a talent and is really not used to havin an off night. He will bounce back and have a great season. He has to learn that when you play in the Sec, its hard to run over Everybody every single Saturday. It's just not going to happen. Unless you're the kid from Lsu. That kid is a beast and not the type of talent you see every year.
Jojo had the hot hand Saturday night and a good coach in a big game has to play it. Simple as that. Boom did nothing wrong except was a bit off his usual greatness. It was Jojo's turn and he responded. Boom will be back.
You're wrong about Boom not doing anything wrong. That's why Stoops benched him.
He missed a few blocks in pass protection which is why he got benched.
