I think UCLA hires him, he does well for a bit, then gets run out of town.

Wasn't he an ast. at Auburn when Louisville hired him the first time my memory is not to good

I have a really hard time seeing it happen. Left Atlanta under scrutiny after giving his word to the owner and 24 hours later leaving a laminated note in his players lockers saying he was done. Then left Arkansas after getting in a motorcycle accident with his mistress, that he had illegally hired to work for him, on the back of it. He then goes to WKU, coaches 1 year and leaves for UL. He was then fired from UL during his 5th season.

I just think there is too much there. He could end up at a FBS school, but I don’t see a P5 job in his future.

Should be retirement. Any power 5 school that hires him will regret it.

Yeah, I have a hard time seeing him as a hot name after that second stint at Louisville. Schools will sometimes risk the baggage if they think doing so will help them win big, but a coach with as much baggage as Petrino who was also just straight up fired from his last P5 job because the team was falling off a cliff doesn’t really have a lot going for him.

I guarantee if U of L loses many more games their fans will gladly welcome him back. I mean they did take him back once and even wanted Pitino back.

He's already at an FCS school with Missouri State and gave Arkansas all they could handle Saturday.

Petrino is a well established turd. That being said, people forget what he has done on the actual coaching end of things. Forget about any off the field behavior, being a jerk, etc. He wound up his last stint at UL with poor on field performance. Because of the entire department being turned over there he had shut it down. But Don’t forget where he had Arkansas at before his issues. They were top 10 type stuff. He won at wku and obviously had UL as a machine in his first stint. Other than how his last season went and his short time with the falcons the guy knocks it out on the coaching end. He’s hardly sufferable as a human but some school will get to a point where they will roll dice on him and deal with the crap.

Unless Jurich gets a AD job somewhere in P5 (ain't happening) then I don't see a path for Honest Bob back into P5 land. Anything can happen and he's done a great job at Missou St but I can't see a P5 AD betting his career on Petrino.

Turd issues aside, I don't know how you really look past the second U6 tenure. It ended in complete disaster. Any P5 AD is going to have to take that into account as well as the character issues if considering Petrino. If Satterfield doesn't make it past this year, I will guarantee that the U6 fans will not want another round of Petrino (and I base this on their message boards) and they couldn't care less about his character; it's all about how 2.0 Petrino was a disaster at the end.

I think he was an OC there, maybe with Tator Tot Bowden or he may have been Tubberville's. AU wanted TT gone, but wanted a coach already hired. So the AU booster in charge at the time and a couple more alone with the AD flew up late one night to meet with Petrino and his agent. Word leaked, the deal fell apart and no jobs changed hands.

The story down here about Petrino and the Falcons was everyone hated him. He would walk by someone, everyone and wouldn't even acknowledge they were there. Then he wasn't there one day, someone enter his office and found his resignation letter on his desk. From what was said about him he wouldn't have given the players a letter.

i'm sure louisville doesn't and will never again. Too much history directly with them. But assuming he doesn't start laying eggs where he is someone will see what happens with him.

No P5 school is going to hire a 61 year old ahole whose never left a school better than he started. And who seems adamant that his son be offensive coordinator.

I don't know if she is still there, but South Carolina hired the blonde. Don't know how much longer Beamer can keep his buddy as OC. Petrino would be an upgrade.
