Describe the characteristics of the typical UL football recruit. And what would Bobby Petrino say to the recruit & his family on his in home visit?

I didn't know he recruited. I thought he just collected players kicked off other teams. If he has any sales pitch at all it has to be that UL has one kick ass work release program.

Say what you like about Bobby, he got a hot blonde half his age to engage in some adult entertainment with him, so I say he is a heck of a salesman and that's what recruiting is all about. Of course he was selling himself, a millionaire, to said hot young blonde, which has always been an easy sell. Now he is selling UofL to athletes which isn't so easy.

answer, his staff does all the recruiting. they intentionally keep recruits far away from their boss. a UL fan recently told me that on visits Tom Jurich might actually spend more face to face time with recruits than Petrino.

Sorry, find that extremely hard to believe. No way a recruit spends more time with the AD than with the head coach. That makes zero sense.

Bobby wasn't "selling" that blonde anything...

He was "buying".

Some day you are going to have to come to grips with what kind of program you are a fan of. Sounds like he was definitely the main recruiter for Willie.

It isn't a pretty picture, but it seems like most UL fans have come to grips with it, just win baby.

A friend of mine, an ex football player for UofL who I graduated with simply put it, most of the players just don't trust Petrino.

He gets kids that want to go pro and really don't care about the in between. He sells his record of getting kids to the nfl and just ah shucks the rest. The recruiters do all the face to face stuff and most of dealing with parents.

Willie was a Kragthorpe recruit

Apparently you didn't see the top 25 list your team and 10 other SEC teams made recently.

Four arrested for having an air soft gun on campus > beating the crap put of your girlfriend and dragging her by her hair. Got to love UL logic.
You boys deserve Petrino.

Must be proficient with uzis and have a minimum rap sheet such as this:

University of Louisville defensive back Terrence Ross has been suspended from the football team following his arrest over the weekend, a U of L spokesman confirmed Sunday evening.

Ross, a redshirt freshman who played in three games this season, was charged with felony assault of a probation or police officer and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct. He was booked with the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections just past 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Bet me.

He has to OK the criminals that were kicked out of other Universities, he has to make sure they will fit in with the criminals he has as coaches, and yes, he had a hand in getting Willie to UL.

Always wondered, is Willie serving his life sentence as a habitual criminal at the expense of the state of Kentucky or the Federal system?

Any recruit who is kicked out of another D-1 school is automatically a target for Petrino and UL. Just like playing the waiver wire.

You must have a rough time communicating with folks on a daily basis. When you talk do people, within 1 minute of your "conversation", start staring into the air and mindlessly nodding at you? I would think so if you believe the UK teams arrests are anything like your thuggery going on at your Dog Food Campus/city.

Jurich is the AD. He doesn't recruit football players.

Jurich was all over the recruitment of that thug. Tom "personally vouched" for Williams after conducting his own background check. Jeffery Dahlmer could pass the Jurich test if he was a top prospect.

"Williams is being admitted to Louisville under the recommendation of athletics director Tom Jurich, who personally conducted a background check on Williams." per ESPN

"The infamously troubled former Miami linebacker is still likely the most controversial transfer the U of L football program has ever taken. Debates raged for days on the Internet about whether or not the juice was worth the squeeze for Louisville and its new head coach. The arguments got so heated that Tom Jurich finally stepped directly into the flames and personally vouched for Williams, saying he would come to U of L with a "zero tolerance policy," and that any indiscretion would result in an immediate dismissal...."

The recruiting conversation would go something like this. Petrino would say "Judge your honor, If you will turn him out of prison early on shock probation, & release him into my custody. I'll see to it that he doesn't holdup anymore drug stores, just liquor stores."
