Hurled rapist comments at Dez Wells all during the game then took to twitter and over emphasized their hatred. If you are offended by bad language, don't read beyond this point.

I really hope we smack the hell out of WVU. No need for this type of behavior from any fans, let alone the coach's daughters.

When he was at Xavier he was accused in a sexual assault which later turned out to be false.

Wells was expelled from Xavier in 2012 after a sexual assault accusation by a female student. He was not prosecuted and sued Xavier but the lawsuit was dismissed. He got a bad rap IMO. He has been a model citizen at Maryland. Mark Turgeon doesn't put up with bad behavior and I don't think Maryland would have taken him if they thought the allegations had any substance. This is more like the phantom Chuck Hayes rape charge back in 2005.

That's pathetic behavior by a coach's family member. Bob Huggins needs to address it and publicly apologize to Dez Wells. If this creates a huge distraction for his team this week, good.

No. A few years ago at Xavier he was once accused of sexual assault, but I believe that ended with the girl's accusations being deemed not credible and Wells being fully cleared.

If that really is Huggins' daughter, the he should be embarrassed, those tweets come off as totally trashy, classless and over the top. And, honestly, given some of the questionable knuckleheads Huggins has recruited over the years (especially back in his Cincy days), does the Huggins family really wanna be attacking the character of other teams' players? You know, glass houses and all.
 
I've seen a lot of skanky stuff in my days. That takes the skanky cake there. Ole Huggy outta be real proud.
 
Just Googled Dez Wells and there are dozens of stories up now about this. By the end of the day today I would say the storyline is going to be "Huggins engulfed in controversy over daughters' comments toward Maryland player."

Xavier expelled him immediately (and without due process) when the accusations first came out. And then the school ended up looking bad when the prosecutor concluded they weren't credible and dropped it.

Believe that was the basis of the lawsuit Wells filed against Xavier afterward--that they kicked him out purely on unproven allegation without bothering to provide fair process or investigate whether true or not.

It appears that she has removed the most offensive posts. To little too late. What an obnoxiously foul mouthed girl. Sadly, I bet Huggins isn't particlarly embarrassed by the things she says.
 
I may be mistaken, but seem to recall we were on the short list of schools Dez was considering transferring to. Don't know if Cal had a real interest or not.

The logical flaw in your handwringing post is that it is much easier to establish the identity of Huggins' daughter on twitter than it is a UK fan.

You have yet to establish that those were actual UK fans tweeting, yet you accepted that as fact.

1. We don't even know if the tweets at Ellis were from UK fans, or trolls from other schools.

2. We know for a fact this is not only a real account attacking Wells, it's the daughter of a well known coach whose team just knocked Wells' team out of the tourney.

You have to really want to go after UK fans to make this comparison.
 
People need to quit worrying about what people say on twitter.You hear all kinds of bizarre crap and I just stay off it.

You don't know who those random Twitter people are, nor do I (or the OP). What I do know is they are idiots who don't represent UK or BBN in any way. It would take me maybe 60 seconds to create a fake Twitter account pretending to be a fan of another school, and start trashing a UK player. It's that simple. What we also know is, those tweets towards Dez Wells came from Huggins' daughter. Why even bring UK fans into this thread?

Well, first off, I agree with you that tweets to Ellis almost certainly came from UK fans. Always just roll my eyes and laugh when paranoid posters here try to blame our own misbehavior on opposing fans pretending to be us.

Still, there's a HUGE friggin difference between some random rednecks doing this sort of thing, as opposed to the Head coach's family and University employees (apparently the daughers work for WVU). If you don't get that, then you're not very smart.

And, finally, who are you to tell us what topic is and isn't worthy of discussing here? What's worthy of discussion is whatever posters want to talk about, if you don't agree that this topic qualifies, then don't join the thread. Nobody's making you post here.

I'd say there's a good chance her job is on the line. But "Special Assistant" usually means there's a family connection somewhere in that department, so I'm guessing she'll get off easy. Same with Huggins' daughter.
