If you spend any time at all watching NBA and NCAA basketball, one of the first differences you'll notice is in the way the block/charge call is officiated. I would love to see college officials take a page out of NBA officials' book. Charges are rare in the NBA and should be much more rare in college ball. NCAA officials always seem to give the benefit to the defense and the guy flopping and flailing wildly. The better the actor, the more likely they are to get the call. NBA officials always give the benefit to the offensive player.
Truth is, most charging calls should be blocks. Years ago, the NCAA had an emphasis on "freedom of movement" but it's all gone back to rewarding flopping and diving at this point.
If they would go to the NBA rule, it would put an end to all the flopping garbage, and that would be a great thing, in my opinion.
