Truth is, the Billy Minardi Classic should remind everyone of the off season scandal that took place. And then there is Pitino:
"We are going to honor Billy in the right fashion, unlike some of the things that went on. We are going to honor him the right way," Pitino said. "We are very disturbed. What's true or what may not be true is not important to me."
So Pitino acknowledges that these things did happen, which should boast the NCAA's justification to penalize a bunch of guys who had nothing to do with the scandal. It will take that long to make a decision.
Also, Mark Pope is the head coach at Utah Valley and now gets dragged into this spotlight supporting his former coach in this Classic. Do some damage Utah Valley.....treat UL like they deserve.
