My dad. During the season, we either speak on the phone or text every single day. During the off-season, we talk 2-3 times a week and I keep him updated on the latest and greatest recruiting news from this site. One of my favorite moments in my sports life was when ole Loserville got beat in the tourney by my dad's alma mater, Morehead St. I was at work and couldn't watch the game. I called him for play by play of the last minute. The grown man was screaming in the phone, "HE BLOCKED THE SHOT!!! HE BLOCKED THE SHOT!!!" Everyone in the office heard and got a big kick out of it.

My stepdad(God rest his soul originally turned me on to UK) rest of my family are ul fans- spouse luke warm- youngest daughter prettty good basketball fan- both son in laws are great fans- not obsessed like me.

Easily my Mom. I follow the minutiae a little more and have more general knowledge but on game day she literally turns into a Wildcat. It can be dangerous watching a game with her out in public because even a little gentle ribbing by non fans makes her furious. Normally the sweetest, kindest, most level headed person I know but she would cut your a$$ with a broken bottle if you tried to talk down the Cats while the games in progress. Watching games with her actually makes it easier for me to check my volatility and stay calm. She's blue to the bone, doesn't matter if it's BB, FB, softball or darts. Liggins is her all time favorite Wildcat btw.

I would have to say It's gooder right now than ever, and I am having a very good ride .

1. My Dad
2. me (it's close but since he turned me into this rabid CAT fan how can I overtake him)
3. My son
4. My brothers

UK basketball is always topic #1 in conversation when the families get together. I love UK football but besides my dad and son I can't have an intelligent conversation on the football side of things with the rest of the family.

One of my fondest memories growing up was laying on my dad's bed with him and a transistor radio between us listening to Cawood call the game. I always had my notebook (dedicated to only UK basketball game stats) and just he and I would listen to the game. My brothers would pop in for updates on the score. I miss that intimate and awe inspiring imagination that comes with listening to Cawood on the radio. I'm a still a diehard fan for sure and I love watching every game on TV but nothing will ever compare to those memories.

There probably isn't a person on this board who loves the cats like I do. So if I'm the biggest fanatic on a board of fanatics then I guess that makes me the biggest cats fan in my family.

Not even close after the 1966 loss I've been hooked for life. I'll snatch that clam from you. Sorry to say just me and my sister she's into Nascar. Started games at Freedom Hall (neutral lol ) vs ND, UKIT's then getting tickets to Rupp every way possible , season tickets, SEC Tournaments and then they stopped and started back up in 1992 I believe and didn't miss a one until 2006, sub regionals and regionals just haven't been to a final 4 yet. Just messing with you Nubb. Like you I love our CATS!!!!

The SEC tourney started back up in '79, if that's what you were referring too in 1992.

1st .....myself
2nd ...my sister (all most as bad as me.)
3rd .... Mom , she is 95 years old and I have to tape the late games for her and she watches them the next day. And the Cats had better not lose to UL. Great MOM. Dad passed away 10 years ago and he was a big fan also.

Sounds just like my mom as well. She screams as loud as me during games.

Who would you say loves the Cats as much as you do? Mine was my papaw. He taped the games until his death in 1995. He loved UK basketball and Breathitt zhigh football and they won the their respective titles the next year.
Me then my wife then my dogs then my relatives then everyone in Owsley County, Kentucky. Now I have said and I am done. Shittu to all of you Shittu Heads.

Pops. He was 101er and Ushered games at both Rupp and CWS, there were several times the folks would come home from work on fridays and go on road trips for UK games. He was named UK Fan of the Year in '78 at the banquet that was held after season for UK by the 101 club, may still have his plague stored somewhere.

Biggest regret was that they didn't get to stay in St. Louis for the Finals due to both having to be back at work on Monday after driving there on Saturday morning, w/out tickets in hand, just to be at the scene. Their friends that were already there scored them a couple for the Saturday games. Made seeing UK win it in person in San Antonio that much more special.

I'm the only one and quite frankly the only sports fan in my family. I'm a fan because I'm a UK alum and did not grow up being a UK fan or college basketball fan in general.

I would say me but dad obviously has me in years so I gotta say the old man is holding that title in the family.

Me!! If a UK team is competing in a contest I'm emotionally invested. Golf, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Basketball, Football. We Are UK and we should Demand that every team is in the hunt for a championship. Anything short of a top 20 finish in any sport should be considered a FAILURE
