Biggest Improvement? Game 1 to Game 2

I was at the game Saturday night. We lost containment a number of times, rarely hurried their QB, what do we do to put pressure on Gamecocks QB and are you expecting to see marked improvement this week?

I disagree we didn't put pressure on the qb. We didn't get the sacks, but we caused some hurries or at least forced hot route decisions. And with their qb, that's all we need. I don't think he's good enough or they will throw enough to make that a priority.

Jones played a lot for a guy that missed three quarters of camp with illness. I'm really expecting to see improvement from him.

But I'm pessimistic about everything else. The big jump is counterbalanced by freshman first SEC game on the road at night. That and I think Stoops tends to undersell injuries, and I think he's doing that with Flanagan (no inside info to back that up).

Plenty of room for improvement. That's what you take from any first game and fix it. Second should be much better, execution wise.

The biggest thing I hope to see is that part between the ears. We can talk about PT all day long but the biggest issues for both the Offense and the Defense is players knowing their assignments and getting to that spot on the field. We had a number of players that were out of position. An actual game and film to back up any corrective measures, will pay major dividends on our young players.
