Yes the news of Wolford leaving and missing on Farmer today isn’t the kind of news most people want. However, when you really take a look at the Oline Jimmies and Joes on next year’s roster - you have to feel prettty darn good about the personnel. Why? One thing that can’t be overlooked - 11 of UK’s 14 scholarship olinemen for next season were personally identified, vetted, and recruited by J. Schlarman to be the next generation of his Big Blue Wall. Take a look:

C/OG
Q. Wilson - Schlarman
Eli Cox - Schlarman
Horsey - Schlarman
RJ Adams - Schlarman
John Young - Schlarman
Paul Rodriguez - Schlarman
Jager Burton - Schlarman

Add in Grant Bingham to this group (who Schlarman offered 3 years ago), and you have 8 interior linemen that Coach Schlarman personally vetted as being capable to be NEXT.

Offensive Tackle
Jeremy Flax - Schlarman
Deondre Buford - Schlarman
Josh Jones - Schlarman
Dave Wohlbaugh - Schlarman

K. Goodwin and Nic Hall are the only 2 of this bunch not hand picked by JS.

So yes, UK needs another OT with the loss of Rosenthal, and yes they need a great Oline coach to develop the guys - but the next coach will have a cupboard stacked with dudes that checked all of the boxes JS was looking for. That should make us feel pretty good about the future of this unit.
