Yeah we have fallen into perpetual madness with our program. Our coach doesn’t care about titles at all. He doesn’t even talk about winning in March anymore. He loves the nba and getting players paid because that’s what’s best for John calipari. He is cal first players second and idk where the program is on his list. He’s one of these guys who think you put out the best players and that’s it. No real tactics. We ll see but I believe this season the madness ends with the guy. I know last year he was close to being gone and like I’ve said one of my best friends is prez at a big bank that already has pulled back on nil with the basketball team. They’ve moved all in with the fb team. He thought cal would be gone last year. This is the year. Cal needs to win in a massive way or the influential business community is done. That’s my read and yeah the perpetual madness is maddening to all!

I think the OP kind of has a point. Although not sure if it's 'madness' level. I mean, it's mid Sept. We should be talking about starters and min, schedules, specific games etc. And yet again, we're talking about some BS drama. It just always seems to be something extra. Instead of questioning Cal's in-game decisions, or guys in a slump, or someone showing up chubby or ripped, there's always something like the big Z issue, or who's electing to not play, or leave before they're ready etc. Maybe it's just the nature of the beast with a big time program, or BBN's nature in general. I don't know. But it's always something extra. UK seems like it inches closer to a reality TV show and away from a storied college basketball program. Look, if we aren't gonna go to Final Fours or hang banners, and be left with lack luster seasons... heck, we can do that with a less-drama coach that at least pretends to put the program first. No, I don't blame Cal for Z. My statement is about the state of Kentucky basketball in general. Just always some BS other than basketball these days.
