These are the best chocolate donuts I remember eating. At least in this country. If you're ever in the north west and like chocolate donuts, buy a box and eat the whole GD thing. 270 calories each, but you won't GAF. Damn good.

Hurts doughnuts in Norman Oklahoma has a line outside of the shop every morning. Most decadent doughnuts I have ever had. Packed with calories and taste unlike any I have ever eaten.

I need to try one of those warrior. How north in Oklahoma is that place? I'm in OKC a couple of times a year.
Norman and OKC are almost together as a city. Just go south on I35 Toward Dallas from from 240 and you are there in about 10 minutes or less. Home of the University of Oklahoma.

Man I totally misread your original post as Northern Oklahoma instead of Norman. I'll definitely hit that up next time I'm there.

Cream filled long john's (bottom right) from Plehn's Bakery in Louisville. The icing is wonderful dark chocolate and is a great foil for the vanilla cream inside.

I like the cinnamon twists, but a lot of the doughnut places around Louisville have terrible tasting chocolate frosting compared to what I grew up eating. Most of those places seem to be owned by Asians now as well. I don't know where they are getting their frosting from, but me no likey.

Plehn's has been around for almost 100 years and does it correctly, IMO. However I know what you mean about all the new Asian donut shops. They make decent fritters, jelly's, etc. but they don't quite understand chocolate.

Burke's Bakery in Danville Ky.The best doughnuts I've ever had.I've heard of Plehn's though but Ive never tried them.Great reputation.

Probably, but I've never tasted an ingrown turd so I can't say for sure. I just had 3 of these things and I think I'm getting burned out on them.

Strange, they don't look the same coming out as they did going in. I'll submit my data for peer review and publish for you scat freaks.
