Belk Bowl changed to Duke’s Mayo Bowl

I’m glad we got it when named “Belk.” It’ll be a couple of years before we can go back to it, and hopefully we’ll be well above it in pecking order in ‘20 and beyond.

Was it every other year with Big Ten/SEC before?
It has been for the last eight r so years. However, I'm fairly sure the change was made before Belk withdrew as sponsor. In the years the SEC doesn't not go to the newly named bowl the conference will send a team to the Las Vegas bowl.

The Mayonnaise Bowl? We've now gone from playing in the name of a department store to a jar of condiment. Good lord these bowls are become an embarrassment.:flush:
I do remember some years ago there was the “Poulan Weed-eater” Independence Bowl.

I agree; some of these bowl names are cringeworthy and embarrassing.

I remember the "Blockbuster" bowl. Do they still have that? (wasn't exactly a cringeworthy name, just thought it was interesting.)

Someone start a gofundme and we'll have CatsIllustrated bowl.

Just thought I’d check the 2019 Bowl results and in the “Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla” bowl, UCF defeated Marshall 48-25.

So when UK players got a Bell shopping spree, will future participants get a lifetime supply of mayo?

Everybody knows that when you think about Duke you think about white and creamy.
